Note: If you search up pictures of Lux from LoL, that's how I imagine Y/N' new hero outfit to look like. I also tried to upload a picture. However if you don't like it, you could just imagine some other design :)

It was a few days before your birthday. And the golden sunlight slanted through the trees, casting lazy shadows across the grass. The leaves were fiery shades of red and orange, the wind crisp with autumn's chill. You and Tenko sat cross-legged beneath a tree, hidden from the rest of the world. His hoodie pulled up and your scarf wrapped twice around your neck.

He'd brought you here without saying much—just a tug on your sleeve and a secretive look in his eyes.

He leaned back against the tree trunk, letting a few leaves fall onto his head. You giggled, reaching over and brushing them away before they could touch his skin.

He seemed to fidget with something in his hand—eyes not quite meeting yours, hair a bit messier than usual, which meant something. He was nervous.

"Hey," He said, barely above a whisper.

You looked up from your paper drawing of the two of you holding hands beneath a crooked tree. "Yeah?"

He crawled closer, and you saw his hands—careful, always careful—holding tightly something.

You watched him with quiet curiosity.

"I know your birthday's not till Friday," He mumbled, "But I wanted to give you this now."

He grabbed your hand and placed your palm facing up, offering his fist with trembling fingers.

You blinked, surprised. "Tenko, what is it?"

He didn't answer. Instead he gently placed what felt like something cold against your palm.

It was a delicate necklace. The chain was thin, but too long for a kid, and dangling from it was a small silver charm shaped like the number 7. Gleaming gently in the sun.

Your breath caught, "It's... pretty."

"I found it hidden away in a drawer," He said quietly, "I don't think it belongs to anyone."

"Really! Why does it have the number seven?" You asked curiously.

Tenko shrugged, finally glancing your way. "I dunno. Maybe it meant something, like lucky number 7!"

Your fingers tightened around the chain as if it might've float away. "Tenko... I can't take this. It's yours."

"I don't have money to get you anything," He said, a little too quickly, like he'd rehearsed this. "And I... I wanted you to have something that mattered. I dunno. I thought maybe this would be a reminder of my first present for you. I promise when I become a hero I'll buy you the most shiniest jewelry and your favorite foods. And I'll make you the happiest! Just give me a few years!"

You tried to hold back your smile, but failed miserably.

"You promise?"

"Yes I promise! Now will you please keep it?" He asked eyes wide, hopeful.

You looked at him then, really looked. At the boy who was so often lost in thoughts too big for his age. At the way he kept rubbing his fingers together, like he didn't know what to do if you said no.

So you smiled, tears stinging your eyes but not falling yet. "Alright I'll keep it, as a reminder of your promise."

He blinked. "Really?"
