Shortlist
A Shortlist will be announced on or around September 18th, 2025. All shortlisted stories will receive:
A Shortlist profile banner to show off their accomplishment to their followers
Promotion on the Wattys profile on Wattpad, and featuring opportunities across Wattpad
An exclusive graphic to include on their cover indicating their achievement
Winners
The odds of winning prizes are dependent on the total number of entries.
From the Shortlist, approximately 10 total winners (the "Winners") will be chosen in each of the following languages: English, Filipino, Portuguese, and Spanish. There will be an approximate total of 40 Winners across all four languages. Wattpad reserves the right to select fewer than 40 Winners, if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified entries.
Winners will receive the following:
A Winners social media kit to share their accomplishment with the world
Promotion on The Wattys profile on Wattpad
Featuring opportunities across Wattpad
An exclusive graphic to include on their cover indicating their achievement
[NEW FOR 2025] 1,000 Bonus Coins (as a reminder Bonus Coins expire after 30 days and are subject to our Payment Policy)
Priority consideration by Wattpad WEBTOON Studios for your story to be shown to entertainment and publishing partners. The team will communicate with you directly if there is interest.
The Winners of these awards will receive extra acknowledgment of their prize on the Wattys website at wattys.wattpad.com.
Honourable Mention [NEW for 2025]
This year features a new distinction: the "Honourable Mention." Judges may award this to any non-winning story they find uniquely noteworthy. While not a winner, these stories will have impressed us in some way. An Honourable Mention will receive promotion on The Wattys profile, and featuring opportunities across Wattpad.
Grand Prize
There will be 1 Grand Prize Winner per language (English, Filipino, Portuguese, and Spanish) chosen out of the pool of up to 40 Winners. The Grand Prize Winners represent the best stories submitted to The 2025 Wattys.
The Grand Prize Winners will each also receive a cash prize of $5,000 USD.
