Chapter 51

I know I'm jumping a few episodes here and there, but for the sake of my story I'm doing it. Since I upped the time of Raven being saved from ALIE and whatnot, some of it might seem faster or out of order.

Season 3

Episode 10:
Nevemore

The boys kept working, updating me every little while when they figured out something new. Sinclair had shown up about an hour ago helping the boys with it. He said Arkadia was getting bad. I just hoped Marcus was okay still. "I'll fill you in out here." I tell Sinclair and he nods walking out with me. "So what is it they're trying to do?" He asks me.

"Raven said she wanted to generate an EMP with the wristband." I tell him and he nods. "A targeted electromagnetic pulse could destroy the chips circuitry. Send it along her nervous system." He mutters. "What else would you need for it?" I ask him. "We'd need to reverse the polarity, wire for external input and attach a battery." He tells me.

"Okay... what could it do to Raven? Is there any danger to her?" I ask him. "EMPs don't affect our body. But I don't know the mechanics of how the chip has integrated with her brain." He tells me. "This was Ravens plan. She wouldn't do it if it was gonna destroy her brain." I tell him. "Depends on how bad she wanted it out." He says with a frown.

"No. Raven's too smart for that. Whatever her plan was, she knew it would work. Without damaging herself." I say shaking my head. "Regardless, without and electromagnet this is just talk." He tells me. "Arty! They're back." Bellamy calls to me and I smirk. "Good thing it isn't just talk." I tell him as the group of four that left earlier comes down the hall.

"Tell me you got it." I say to Fox who nods. "Got it. ALIE's other brainwashed idiots spotted us as we were leaving." She tells me pulling something out of her bag. "Sinclair. Get to work." I smirk holding it out to him. "Arty! Grab her! Stop her!" I hear Octavia yelling. I run into the room seeing Raven trying to rip a set of stitches out of her wrist.

I run over shoving the blanket across her eyes as the blindfold shifts. "Tighten them. Now!" I yell as she thrashes. "Pyro I'm trying not to smother you. But you're making it VERY hard." I snap irritated. They finally get it tightened and I make sure the blindfold is still covering her before I back up.

The others filter out again, lingering across the hall. I hear Raven snarking at Clarke and I sigh. "Clarke, just ignore her. ALIE likes to push buttons. I'm highly considering gagging her." I tell the blonde who nods. Her lip twitches in amusement at my last sentence. After a while of the three working, Sinclair called for me. "I just need to rewire the firing mechanism, and we'll be good to go." He tells me and I smile.

"Thank god." I say softly. "Come on. Let's get her back." He smiles and I nod as they move it over next to her. She starts thrashing again, trying to get away from us. She starts to throw her head back into the wall behind her and I curse. "She's trying to kill herself. Stop her!" Clarke yells.

I run over with the others and hold one of the pillows behind her head. "Hook it onto her! Now!" I yell. "No! The EMP will give me brain damage. You know it will. Please don't do this!" She yells at Sinclair, her eyes filling with tears. "Sinclair you know that's not her talking. Raven wanted this bitch out of her head. Do it!" I urge him as he looks heartbroken.

Bellamy runs in carrying something but I ignore him for now. He hooks it to her arm finally and hits the button. When nothing happens Jasper looks confused. "What's happening?" He asks as Sinclair curses. "There's no more power. We need a stronger battery." He says panicked. "Good thing I got this." Bellamy says stepping up holding the battery from the rover.

"I knew we kept you around for a reason. Let's go!" I say as they switch it. "Got it." Sinclair says hitting it again. Raven screams, arching off the bed, and I step back. My eyes sting with tears and she soon slumps, silent. Clarke surges forward, pressing her fingers into her pulse point. "She's breathing." She announces and I sag in relief.

"Just... give her a minute to wake up. I'm sure that was draining." I mutter wiping my face. I pace around as the door opens and Lexa comes in. "How is she?" She asks me joining my side. "We used the EMP like she planned. I just feel like we're missing something. Who knew this stupid thing could be so dangerous." I mutter looking at the chip in my hand.

Sinclair had one in his pocket. Jaha had apparently been chipping people left and right. Lexa snatches it and holds it up to her face. "Sorella... this is like the one I told you about. That commanders use." She tells me. "So it's similar?" I ask her. "No. I mean identical." She tells me. "How does yours work though?" I ask confused. She turns showing me the cut on the back of her neck.

"Wait... if that's how yours goes in and out..." I trail off turning to Raven. "Get her on her side." I tell them and Clarke is confused but they help me. "What the hell are you doing?" Clarke asks as I put the knife to her neck. "Testing a theory." I snap at her. I make the cut and blood pours out of her cut. After a second a silver kind of fluid pours out of the cut.

"What is that?" Bellamy asks. "It must be whatever left of the chip." Sinclair mutters softly. As it stops, Raven starts coughing. We lay her back and I watch her carefully. She starts to taunt Octavia, who was closest to her but I roll my eyes with a grin. "I'm not falling for that Pyro. I'll still gag you." I say making her turn to me.

She huffs but gives me a weak smile. "You scared the hell out of us. Hope you know that." I tell her. "My bad." She mutters as Sinclair sits her up. She gives the man a smile as we untie her wrists. "Thank you. If it weren't for you guys... I'd be dead." She tells us. "You gave us the right way to go." I tell her. "I'm really sorry. For everything I've said." She tells us, her eyes meeting mine.

"It wasn't you Raven. You have nothing to apologize for." I tell her and she nods. "Why did she want you to kill yourself though?" Clarke asks. "Because I know why she's looking for the second AI." She tells us. "Why?" Bellamy asks now. "Because it's the only thing that can stop her." She tells us.

My eyes shift to Lexa who looked put off by this. "We'll figure it out. For now, you rest." I tell her and she nods. "You guys can linger in here now if you want. Or in my room." I tell them. "Where's the cockroach?" Raven asks. "ALIE wasn't taunting me for no reason. Murphy is missing." I tell her and she frowns.

"We'll get him back though. You just rest." I remind her and walk out with Lexa. "So what now? She says the second chip can stop her?" Lexa asks me confused as we move down the hall. "I don't know for sure. It's something we need to plan. And fast." I tell her and she nods.
