07/31/15 ;

The rain outside made Hari happy. Rain was her favorite thing. The soft sounds of the raindrops made her relaxed especially since she was next to the window and it blocked out what the teacher was saying.

Unlike many other students, Hari enjoyed school very much. Yes, she didn't have friends and no one talked to her but she liked that, it was better than being at home anyways.

-

After a few minutes, the bell rang for lunch, Hari's favorite part of school. It wasn't just because of the food but because she got to be away from everyone else.
She sat down in her usual spot, a table in the library. Eating in the library was nice since no one ever came during their lunch hour. She took out her food and her favorite book and started reading.

A sudden tap on her shoulder caused her to turn her head and find him standing there.

It was a simple, "Can I join you?" and she found herself closing her book and eating lunch with the most popular guy in school, Jeon Wonwoo. Of course it surprised her, who wouldn't be surprised if the most popular guy in school asks to join you for lunch?

-

The hour seemed like it dragged on for ages. The two ate together in silence. Every once in a while Wonwoo tried to make conversation but all he got in return were one-word answers.

As they ate, Wonwoo noticed lots of things about Hari. First off, she didn't eat much. All she had was a small container of strawberries which took her forever to finish. Also, she was very pale. Not the kind of pale like she doesn't go out in the sun, but kind of an unhealthy pale, as if she was...sick. That wasn't all though, Hari tended to space out very often, as if she entered this different world for a few minutes and come back as if nothing happened.

Weird, he thought, maybe this is why no one wants to be her friend?

Hari had always been the odd one out, yet he never knew why. It's been like this ever since they started high school a year ago. But to him, Hari looked just like any other girl he's seen, maybe a little prettier.

Why doesn't she fit in?

It was a question that lingered in his head. The longer he sat with her, the more interested he became. It was obvious, Wonwoo wanted to know more about Hari.

It wouldn't hurt to make a new friend, right?
