Jailey randomness/ one shots

after the music competition

Haileys pov:

After finally arriving home, Jakes and Lukes parents arrived and sat in the kitchen along with my parents while chatting and drinking wine. The rest of the group headed to the lounge to watch tv.

"O-kayyy what do we wanna watch?" Zander says switching the tv on with the remote. "Uhhh how about..high school musical?" Milly asks, grinning. "Ew no Milly pick a good movie" Zander groans. "WHAT??" She yells.

After 15 minutes of debating between the two they finally settle on one and everyone begins watching. It wasn't that the movie was bad..it was just a bit boring. That or I was just extremely tired.

"Hey uh..I'm gonna grab something from my room, I'll be back!" I smile quickly getting up and walking to my room. The others nod in acknowledgment and once I get to my room I shut the door and lay on my bed. I had absolutely no intentions or desire on going back out or leaving my room.

I grab my phone and click onto instagram. The group had posted tons of pictures of our awards. I swipe onto a picture Milly had posted.. it was a picture of when Jake was teasing me about being jealous or whatever. "Ugh Milly!" I yell to my self. I thought she was too busy arguing with Zander anyways, to take a picture.

I click onto the picture and slightly zoom into me and jakes faces. He had always pretended to 'flirt' with me. I would be lying if I said I didn't completely hate it. It was confusing.. I couldn't tell if I just thought of Jake as a really close friend or a..crush. No way had I started catching feelings for a goof ball like him! But I mean..

"Hailey?" A knock on the door snaps me out of it, scaring me slightly. "Oh uh come in!" I yell turning my phone off. Jake walks in smiling "hey princess!" He grins. God even his stupid smile. "Oh hey Jake! Uh why aren't you watching the movie with the others?" I ask as he walks over to sit on the bed. "Well..I could ask you the same" he says. "Fair point, but really, why?" I ask again.

"I noticed you were missing, thought to check up on you! You know, just to make sure you didn't hit your head and pass out randomly which is why you didn't come back for a while." He chuckles. "O-oh you noticed, haha um..." I laugh awkwardly.

We fall into an awkward silence and suddenly the floor becomes so extremely interesting to the both of us as we both just stare at it.

"I uh..well I also wanted to talk to you" he says quietly. "Yeah? About what?" I ask. He looks up at me which causes me to as well. He just stares at me silently, his face painted in uncertainty before smiling and laughing, then turning away. "Nothing, I just like talking to you." He smiles.

"You are pretty cool to talk to as well" I smile at him. "You know..the others probably don't realise we are gone..wanna watch YouTube on my laptop?" I ask, grinning. "Oh one hundred percent!" He laughs.

Jake pov:

Both me and Hailey lay against her headboard, our shoulders just touching ever so slightly. She grabs a pillow, places it on our legs and puts her laptop on top.

We decide on a random YouTube video and we fall into a comfortable silence, both just watching the video, our legs touching slightly and laughing occasionally.

20 minutes pass and I suddenly feel a gentle weight drop on to my shoulder, I look down to see Hailey asleep on my shoulder.

I laugh quietly before placing the blanket over her and continuing the YouTube video. I place my arm around her gently just to make sure the blanket didn't fall.

I wasn't sure what this was but it was nice.

An hour or so passes and I turn into a state of half awake half asleep when I hear footsteps approaching.

"YEAH ZAN-DERR ILL CHECK IN HAILEYS ROOM" Milly says loudy before swinging the door open.

We both stare at each other shocked before Milly slowly grabs her phone and snaps a picture. "OH MILLY YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!" I yell as she laughs crazily.

Zander walks in and drops what ever he is holding as he sees me and Hailey.

My body freezes as I mumble out "Oh fu-"

Hailey pov:

I woke up feeling much more rested then I have recently. I Look down to move the blanket off me and when I realised I was still wearing my concert dress and jacket. Crap I must of fell asleep when I went to my room.

I grab my phone to check the time, only to see a message from Jake from last night, I quickly click onto it to see what it is.

Jake Sterling 🍑

ILL BE THERE SOON
IM LIKE 5 MINS AWAY

Hurry up Zander is panicking 🤦‍♀️

ITS NOT LIKE I CAN
JUMP OUT THE CAR
AND FLY THERE

Yesterday 11:26pm

Hey princess, I'm leaving now.
You fell asleep on me when we
were watching YouTube lol. I
put your laptop and phone on
charge don't worry. Also umm
Milly saw and may or may not
took a picture and posted it???
Oh and I am apparently banned
from stepping foot into your room
according to Zander. Anyways
hope you got good sleep see you
on Monday!

I Look up at my table, he did in fact charge my laptop..that was sweet of him.

What did he mean by I fell asleep on him? Like I fell asleep when watching YouTube so he had to watch it alone or I fell asleep ON him like his shoulder. My face reddened thinking about it.

"Oh crap Milly posted it" I say clicking into instagram. There was a post that tagged me and Jake which said "THEY WENT MISSING FOR AN HOUR, FOUND THEM LIKE THIS🤣"

In the picture I was in fact laying on Jake. "Ohhh crap- I am cooked." I gasp.

This was so fun to write I MIGHT write a part two but idk yet :3

It's currently 2:43am as I finished writing and editing this🫠 I'm so tired but at least I finished it!
