A few days have passed since we started the expedition and so far everything has gone well.

I was able to clear out the black miasma killing the forest. The soldiers were able to kill the monsters that lurked within the miasma.

We successfully completed the first destination which was the beginning of the east part of the island. Now we are heading deeper in.

That also meant the more we go in the less we'll be able to pull the carriages.

"Breakfast is ready highness". Hayden, a soldier who is also Kyro's friend said.

"Okay thank you, I'll be there shortly". I said.

"We are heading deeper in today, to the second destination. You'll need to be on guard at all time, okay princess?" Hayden said as we walked to the dinning tent.

"I understand".
Truths be told this was all so exhilarating. I thought it would be much scarier but it's not at all bad.

"Morning your highness!" The soldiers greeted as I passed them.

I sat down and ate. The food wasn't bad at all. But that's also because.

"Here you go sweetheart. Enjoy this lovely meal I prepared for you". Leo smirked.

"Haha again? You're so weird". I said to Leo. The leader of the Zodiac spirits.

After breakfast I got ready to head out. We'd be walking the majority of the time today.

"Okay everyone, we all know the deeper we go the more dangerous it gets". Kyro said. "As much as we are to kill the beasts, our top priority is to protect the Princess. If anything goes off course we protect her".

The soldiers agreed and we started making our way in.

The miasma was thick and hard to breathe. The monsters were tougher. In order for me to clear it all the way, we had to find the main source of it and only then would I be able to clear it.

Suddenly the light became darker. Fog became evident and the miasma was so thick it was almost impossible to breathe.

"Everyone! Get ready, a beast is near!" A soldier shouted.

Just then from the fog a beast jumped, heading right towards me. I put my hands together like a prayer then chanted, "with the light of my spirits destroy all beasts, piercing light!"
Light shot out, almost like a jolt of electricity, piercing the beast and killing it.
More beasts followed and again we destroyed them.

Once the wave of beasts were defeated we headed forward. The fog was so thick I could barely see at this point, but that only meant we were close to the source.

"You doing okay princess?" Virgo who was walking beside me asked.
"I'm good, just want to get this over with so I can go back to the tent to finish my book. Haha".

Virgo looked at me and blinked. "No offense princess, but you're kind of weird". She said.
Not like I could disagree. Who would think about something like that while being in a place filled with evil beasts and miasma that's destroying everything.

"We found it!" A soldier shouted.
The rest of us quickened our pace to where the soldier was.
Indeed it was the main source of this evil.
A lump of big gooey black acid. The mist was coming off of it making more miasma. It was suffocating.

"You ready princess?"  Kyro asked.
"Yes". I said.

But before I could do anything a beast came flying down towards us from above, it screeched loud.

"Protect the princess! Destroy it, it's the guardian of this source!" Kyro yelled out.

All sorts of attacks shot out trying to destroy the flying beast.
I focused my attention on the main source and started chanting. "Spirits of the divine Gods above shine your celestial light and destroy all evil that purge our land, Divine Spirit Light!"
Light shone all around. Blinding everything around until the sound of a bell was heard, destroying all evil.

"You did it highness!" Hayden said tapping me on the shoulder.
I opened my eyes and the blue sky shone above and green grass was now under my feet. Everything was restored.

"Thank goodness". I said standing up. I wobbled a bit but this time I was able to keep my balance. "Let me restore your energy". A healing mage said.
"No im alright. Go help those who need it more". I said walking over to where the soldiers who destroyed the beast guardian layed.
"This one was a tough one". A soldier said.

"I'm glad you all are uninjured".
"You too highness".
I smiled. Another mission complete. Only a week and a half more until we head back.

"Let's head out, we are heading back to camp!"  Kyro said.

I started making my towards the other soldiers and mages.

Lucy...

I zipped my head around.
Again? Why do I keep hearing that voice?

"Princess?" Virgo asked.

"It's nothing, let's get going". I said walking forward.

Magnolia

By the water the pink dragon slayer stood, looking out to the vast ocean in front of him. He stood with his eyes closed. Feeling the cold breeze on his face.

As the wind blew, and the sound of water splashed against the shore all he thought was the girl who he missed.

Lucy
