The next morning, Tomek felt strangely detached. His alarm blared at 8 AM as usual, but he never had time for a slow start. He dressed mechanically—loose jeans, nondescript T-shirts, clothes that felt like they belonged to someone else. Even his coffee tasted like nothing, just fuel to get to class.

But today, unease gnawed at him. Between lectures, he couldn't shake the fear that his double life was unsustainable. People around him seemed so sure of themselves—happy, talking effortlessly. And him? He was the one who couldn't reach for his own dreams.

After class, instead of work, he went home. He needed to breathe. For once, he didn't want to be Tomek—the guy who didn't understand his own mind. He sat at his computer and logged into Datezone, the anonymous portal where Lena thrived.

Then he saw him—Michał. A KFC customer he'd delivered to before. Michał's profile was there, staring back at Lena's photos.

Tomek's pulse spiked. Did Michał recognize him?

A message appeared:
"Hey, you're Lena, right?"

The words shattered the silence. Tomek froze. Coincidence? Or had his secret been uncovered? Fear and curiosity warred inside him.

He typed back:
"Yes, it's me. What do you want to know?"

Michał replied fast:
"Meet me at the KFC drop-off after your shift. We'll talk."

And just like that, Tomek's world held its breath.
