---POV Yuu ๑۩۞۩๑
I wake up in my room. Grim is sleep-talking as always...
I think I'm too sore to fall asleep again—my body feels numb.
Maybe it's better if I get up.
With great effort, I move Grim off of me and walk over to the window. I open it quietly, letting the night breeze hit my face and the cool air freshen up the stuffy room.
At that moment, I catch a glimpse of the garden. It looks far more intriguing at night.
Should I go down there?
I think once more about whether or not I should leave the dorm, but figure a walk might help my muscles recover from the "training" with Leona-senpai.
I cross the room, go down the stairs, and head toward the door. Once outside, I walk for a bit until I'm near the gate, but my body still feels too tired. I decide to sit on one of the steps.
It's pretty cold tonight...
Will I ever get to go back home?
— Hm... And who might you be? — asks a man with horns, emerging from the leaves.
He has pale skin, glowing green eyes, and long dark hair. His nails are painted black. He has a pair of black horns and wears an ornate shirt, gloves, and black and green pants with matching boots. He's an intimidating figure—his appearance reminds me of a corpse.
— G-ghost?! — I exclaim, stammering from the shock and standing up quickly.
— Hmm, this is a surprise. You must be a son of man... — he states, not changing his tone, crossing his arms with elegant posture.
That green bracelet... he's a student, then. How didn't I notice it before?
— Do you live here? This building had been abandoned for a long time, hadn't it? I used to enjoy visiting it... a place where I could be alone, undisturbed. — he frowns, his tone shifting slightly with a trace of irritation.
Sounds like anti-social behavior to me.
— I'm the prefect of this dorm. And you would be? — I ask, keeping a polite tone.
— Who I am... You don't know who I am? Truly? — he asks, a mix of interest and surprise on his face. I nod, uncertain.— Hmm, that's very interesting... and quite rare. What should I call you, son of man?
— I'm Yuu.
— Hmm, Yuu... that's a rather unusual name. — he muses, bringing a hand to his chin. — Well, my name is...
He stops for a moment as if pondering something.
Then he lowers his hand and looks at me as though analyzing me. His lime green eyes pierce into my soul with a crushing intensity. But soon, he averts his gaze and crosses his arms again, maintaining that elegance that reminds me of royalty... though to be fair, most students in this school act like that, don't they?
— Actually, no, I won't tell you. Not knowing is for your own good. The moment you hear it, a chill will crawl across your skin. And besides, I'm curious to see how far your ignorance can take you. So, as an exception, I'll allow you to call me whatever you like. — he says, with a mocking smile.
This school is full of weird people.
— Well... hmph, if people are living here now, it means this abandoned building is no longer abandoned—and that's unfortunate. — he grumbles, clearly displeased.
Oh sure, I totally thought having residents meant the house was still abandoned... His logic is making me question whether he's as intimidating as I thought.
— I suppose I'll have to find new places for my nighttime strolls. Well then, I bid you farewell. — he says, vanishing.
— He vanished?! Wow... I just stepped out for some fresh air and ran into a guy obsessed with abandoned buildings. — I mutter to myself.
Guess I'll head back to my room and try to get some sleep.
