THE RESET Ⅰ

The Reset's layout is basically a mash of all the worlds in one room, and all the rooms in one series of obstacles, which is the main reason Lumi has a slight feeling of familiarity in her matter-shifting body. One exception is that the background would be just plain black.

As usual, The Reset starts with a neon room. Similar to the room where she actually died, the platform would consist of probably no obstacles in sight, only excluding the fact that there is a definite chance of 100% she won't have to respawn this time.

"Here we go again..."

The glowing cat speaks as she rolls her body to the exit, now too tired to turn into liquid. She was slow, but she didn't care.

Room 9.

As the previous exit shifts into an entrance to the first level of the world, she was spawned on a relatively thin platform with literally no checkpoints in sight. This was going to be somewhat hard for her because she has to deal with being on one heart every level. But as she moved foreward she was now met by an exceptionally "friendly" greeting.

"...Why am I even talking to you? You just wouldn't listen to me."

"This was your doing."

"How many times do I need to screw this into your head? You are the one who locked yourself here. You are responsible for everything that has happened so far. How is that in any way my doing?"

"Okay never mind, I should've asked that first. Though, I am not responsible for what you have gone through."

"I'm not talking about myself OR my death, I'm talking about you, specifically."

Lumi sighed, and there was a very brief moment of silence as the cat focused more on completing the level, the first time in ages she felt so determined ever before she created it and lost a significant chunk of memory of her friends. Lumi can only remember their blurred faces, that white room, nothing else. The cat used as much of her abilities as possible, because she knew that she won't have them in the next few levels. The only one the cat knew won't be taken away is being turned into liquid. Imagine If there was another ability ring taking away the liquid form! Her very main purpose would perish into nothingness.

That thought reminded of another thing she forgot to ask TDF.

Room 8.

"I think I found The Purple One. He was with me in the last room."

"Ah, really?"

"Do you have any idea how I can stop him?"

"I said this earlier, what can I do to stop the purple cat? Question why I am here with you first."

Room 7.

"Please..."

"Remember when I said The Purple One is the one who created the square? think about what he is trying to do."

"...What?"

"You don't get it?"

"He tormented me as far as I remember! What else I wouldn't get!?"

"Actually, no. Forget it. Don't think about it too much. You wouldn't understand either way."

Lumi flowed up the weird resembling point of the slightly desaturated orange platform, quickly rushing past the orange square spawn point. She sat there for a quick rest for a good few seconds then the cat swiftly went back to her business. Lumi went forward a bit and found a triangle barrier, so she hit them with her very own explosive bombs, an ability she breaks triangular barriers apparently. She rolled her way up to the exit door.

You know what else that reminded her of?

Room 6.

"What do you mean I wouldn't get it? I don't understand..."

Lumi spawned on an unusually strange spot; the entrance rotated 90 degrees gathered with orange spikes around it. It was easy to avoid because by the time she got there she would be falling through the air and landing on some pink circles, so she can just move her body to avoid getting hit.

"Of course you wouldn't. That is why everything went wrong."

"But-"

"Exactly Lumi."

The Dead Friend cut her off.
