I was at a loss for words.

The boy in front of me looked so relieved that he wasn't alone, that it really reminded me what we had been through. That I've been living in luxury, at the tower, while taking my sweet time to rescue my best friend. "Of course I came back," I managed. His eyes didn't leave me, until he tore them away. "Jay?" He rasped.

"Jim, hey buddy," Jay said, rushing over to his side. He pulled Jim up in a hug, "I've got your back," he said, giving Jim a sly smile. I finally made my feet move, taking slow steps forward. But they quickened, and I soon found myself with Jim's arms wrapped around me. "I'm so sorry," I choked out, fighting the soreness in my throat. "It's okay," he said, pausing as we pulled back. "But what's going on?" He asked with a small smile.

I could tell he was already becoming who he used to be, all it took was a little hope. "We're getting you out of here," Jay said confidently. "Who's we?" Jim asked. "The old crew. All our friends came together, and it seems we have more in common than we thought," I explained. Jim still looked extremely confused, and I chuckled.

"Bens like us,"

"He's-"

"Yeah he's enhanced," I smiled. A big weight seemed to lift from Jims chest. "Anything else I should know?" He questioned. "Lea's the whiz behind technical support, what's new? Jay has wicked aim with a gun, Aida is a master at gymnastics and poison, and we have some support from a certain billionaire," I laughed, so relieved that we would be getting out of here.

Jim opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by pounding footsteps. Jay cocked a gun and aimed it at the door, just as a figure appeared. "There you are," Steve panted. A look of horror crossed over Jim's face, "isn't he with SHIELD?" He frantically asked. I rested a reassuring hand on his shoulder, "no he's with us,"

"Sorry to disrupt what's going on, but we need to leave," Steve ordered, before resting eyes on Jim. "So your the one they all talk about," Jim looked Steve in the eye, "it would seem so," Steve gave a small nod, before talking into his watch. "Okay guys, we've got Jim. I'll send the signal in under a minute,"

"Hurry it up, we don't know how much longer Aida and Ben will hold them," Lea said back.

"Jay the bomb," I directed. Jay took a small device out of his belt, placing it against the wall. "Bomb set," Jay barked into his watch. I couldn't help but smile at Jims amazement, at how well we were organized. "Okay guys, roll count for everyone's position," Tony explained. "Iron man in position,"

"Virus in position," lea's voice crackled through the com.

"Captain America in position," Steve said into his watch.

"Bullseye in position," Jay called out.

"Cobra in position," Aida's voice said from the watch.

"Razor blade in position," Ben followed soon after.

Lifting my watch, I took a deep breath. "Tiger Lily in position. Letting signal off in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Redeemers Unite!" I shouted.

Just as the hole blew through the wall, the power completely shut down. "Tell me that was one of you guys!" I screamed into my watch. A few seconds passed in anticipation before it crackled to life. "That was me, extra precautions," Lea said finally. We all sighed in relief, but it was soon over. "Guys, something's on my scanner," she said in a strange voice. "What do you mean?" Steve asked, giving me a look. I peered over the gaping hole in the wall, making sure no one was there.

"We have thermal scanners over the whole building. Coming down the hallway is a figure. But instead of showing heat, it's cold," Tony explained. Jay furrowed his brow, "if it's cold, how can you see it?"
