I yawned as sat in the drivers seat. It's 4am, we wanted an early start so bell's routine wouldn't be out of wack and she wouldn't be cranky.

"I brought you a red bull, also some coffee" Silas said holding up a can and my favorite coffee mug.

"I need to propose to you I swear." I said making him laugh.

"Yea you do" he said turning around to check on bell in her car seat.

"She's passed out, she may sleep the whole way" he said turning back into his seat.

"Well let's just hope she doesn't get cranky, I don't want her being cranky or scared of my parents"

"I don't think so, she does get shy but she's SO out going".

My parents can be intimidating, I guess that's where I get it from. But they're nice, they're kind people.

"Alright let's go"

"Yayyy" bell said scaring us. Silas spins around in his seat, I watch through the mirror. Her arms are up in excitement but fall back down before she falls right back asleep.

"She's something else" Silas laughed.

"Yeah she'll be fine at my parents.."

The drive wasn't bad, we even stopped to get some food. Bell ate a whole milkshake from McDonalds before she got bored and asked if we were there yet.

"No princess. We still have 30 minutes, why don't you color or something" I suggested.

"Color boring right now" she pouted.

"Ok we'll do you want to play on dadas phone?" Silas asked.

"Yeah!" She replied in which Silas handed her his phone.

"Wait doesn't she have her own phone?" I asked.

"Yeah but to her it's more fun to destroy my phone" he replied. I scoffed as i continued to keep eye contact with the road.

After another 30 minutes of bell babbling and asking if were there yet we finally made it. I pulled into the long driveway, parking behind my father's black 1972 ford mustang.

"Big house" bell said as I helped her out of the car. Her face seemed nervous, she was holding onto me harder than usual.

"Yeah daddy grew up in a big house, are you ready baby?" I asked.

"I scared.." she whispered.

"Oh honey, why are we scared?" I asked.

"Big house, big people..big expectations.." she looked down as she paged with the rings on my finger.

"clover, no one is expecting anything of you expect to be your cute little self. Why would you think there's big expectations?" I asked. Silas gave us a pouty face as we waited for her answer.

"I want them to like me"

"Bell, I swear my parents will like you. Why would you think they wouldn't?" I asked confused.

"Daddy scary sometimes, daddy's daddy and mommy could be scary sometimes" she explained. I laughed when I realized what she meant.
