A/N : Errors Ahead

Xianna's POV
My eyes widened at what I just heard. Hanu daw?! Pretend to be her girlfriend? I stared at her, trying to process if I heard her right or if my brain was playing tricks on me LOL..
"Excuse me?" I said, raising an eyebrow. "Ano ulit yung sinabi mo?" tanong ko ulit sa kanya.
She looked serious—too serious, actually. Her expression didn't even flinch as she repeated herself.
"I need you to pretend to be my girlfriend."
I wanted to laugh so hard...
Aba, ayos tong si ate ah! I crossed my arms, giving her a once-over. Tall, decent-looking, clearly someone who could turn heads if she wanted to, but… seriously?
"Okay, time out," I said, gesturing with my hands. "First of all, sino ka nga? Second, bakit ako? And third… anong nainom mo at naisipan mong tanungin ako ng ganito?"
She sighed, looking a little frustrated but still keeping her composure. "I'm Gideon," she said, like that was supposed to explain everything. "And I remember you. You're the one I lent my jacket to the other day."
I blinked. Ah. So, siya nga yun. "Okay, so… and then what?"
"And then," she continued, "I need someone to pretend to be my girlfriend, and I thought—why not you?"
I scoffed, shaking my head in disbelief. "Why not me? Eh hindi nga kita kilala, Miss! For all I know, you could be a serial killer or something."
She rolled her eyes. "Do I look like a serial killer to you?"
"That's exactly what a serial killer would say," I shot back, smirking.
She pinched the bridge of her nose, exhaling deeply. "Look, I'm not asking you to marry me or anything. I just need you to meet my parents, pretend we're together, and that's it. I'll even pay you if you want."
I stared at her, completely dumbfounded. Aba, may bayad pa? Ano 'to, escort service? talent fee?
"Listen kid, I know it sounds crazy," she said quickly, probably noticing my skepticism. "But I'm desperate. My parents won't stop pressuring me to settle down, and I just… need someone to get them off my back for a while."
I narrowed my eyes at her, still unsure if she was joking or dead serious. But the look in her eyes told me one thing—desperado na talaga 'tong taong 'to.
"And why should I help you?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"Because…" She paused, as if searching for the right words. "I helped you when you needed a jacket. Now you can help me."
I let out a laugh, shaking my head. "So now you're cashing in on a jacket? Seriously?"
"Seriously," She said firmly, looking straight into my eyes.
Wow. Ang kapal. Pero ang astig. Part of me wanted to walk away, but another part of me was curious. What if I say yes? Ano kayang mangyayari?
"Well," I said, smirking, "This should be interesting." I paused, thinking about her ridiculous proposal. Pretend to be her girlfriend? Mukhang kalokohan, pero... biglang sumagi sa isip ko yung isang bagay.
