The hotel suite buzzed with tension no stylist.

A message from the company that almost ruined their mood.

Other groups are doing well this year more than the Orange Blood album. Ateez got invited to the Coachella to perform and Le-Sserafim also got the invitation and even got brand promotion that have been cancelled for Enhypen. Make your hiatus useful to the extent.

Heeseung stood near the window, arms crossed, jaw tight. Jay paced near the dining table, fingers drumming against his arm. Sunghoon leaned back on the armchair, composed but clearly listening to every word.

Jungwon tugged at the sleeve of his jacket, brows drawn into a frown. "Hyung, you're saying we should just ignore it? Because we are on hiatus?"

Niki scoffed without looking up. "Yeah, that makes total sense. Ignore the problem and hope it magically fixes itself."

Jay stopped pacing long enough to glare. "That's not what we're saying."

"It sounds exactly like that," Jungwon shot back.

Heeseung exhaled sharply, turning from the window. "We're trying to be realistic. If we confront them now, it'll blow up into something bigger. The timing is bad."

"Timing is always bad when it comes to them," Niki muttered.

Sunoo, sprawled across the couch with a pillow hugged to his chest, nodded vigorously. "As always, I agree with Jungwon and Ni-ki. This isn't small. Why are we pretending it is?"

Jake stepped between them before Jay could respond, lifting both hands like he was diffusing a bomb. "Okay, everyone calm down. We can plan out something for the next album. Something better, not impulsive reactions."

Niki gave him a skeptical look. "Hyung, you're just focusing on the comeback part."

"And we're going to only focus on that," Jake said with a sigh, not unkind. "We are on hiatus. Why are we forgetting that? We are meant to relax until the company comes up with our next schedule."

Sunghoon, arms folded, tilted his head slightly. "Jake's right. If we do something on our own then also, they aren't going to accept it anyway. Without thinking, they'll twist it on us again."

Niki muttered something under his breath but didn't argue that time.

Jungwon ran a hand through his hair, frustrated. "But doing nothing isn't an option either. The competition rate is high."

Jay finally spoke, voice low but firm. "We know. But dad said... nevermind. They'll just say we're overreacting."

Sunoo sat up straight, frowning. "But we are reacting exactly how they want us to. Why is everyone ignoring that part?"

Jake pinched the bridge of his nose. "We're not ignoring it. We're trying to pick the smartest route."

Heeseung nodded once. "Exactly. We're concerned too. But we can't risk our entire schedule over instinct alone."

Jungwon's eyes flicked between the older members, troubled. "It's not instinct. It's obvious."

Sunghoon shook his head. "Whatever. If something goes wrong later, it will be a big mess. Responsibility is a key factor." He glanced at Heeseung, who was already staring at him after hearing the distinct words.

Sunoo smirked. "As if all the weight of fate is on our shoulder."

Jay groaned quietly. "To get on top and thriving in a pyramid society, you must learn how to climb the slopes efficiently not quickly. One wrong move, you are sliding down to the bottom again."
