Part 2

Lucy's day got progressively better, for one she meant another person who matched her energy as much as Angela did. Lucy had joined a conversation between Angela and jackson, who she found out used be Angela's rookie. She had clicked well with him after just one conversation and she felt like she had started to find her grouping in mid wilshire. So overall not such a bad day. Plus she had solved a case in just one day of the being there, ignoring the weirdness of the morning she would like to think she had a great first day.

Lucy, Angela, and jackson planned to hang out after just to help get the hang of mid wilshire just a little more. 
Lucy: so tell me about the people of mid wilshire
Angela: ouuu this is my favorite part. Ok let me start with the people you're actually going to be working with
Jackson and Lucy  smiled looking at the excitement that covered Angela's face
Angela: ok Nyla, she acts tough and is tough. Probably one of the best detective's in mid wilshire, I will kill you if you tell her I said that. But she acts tough but deep down she cares but she also gets really attached to cases, which is sometimes her best and worst qualities
Lucy: ok so watch out for Nyla but also don't be too scared of her. Got it
Angela: ok next Tim
Lucy: Tim? Who's that?
Angela: Bradford, the one you bumped into this morning
Lucy: oh the one that acted like a complete douche
Jackson; ouuu tell me more, this sounds too interesting to just skip over
Lucy: we bumped into each other this morning, and he spoke to me like I was some worthless piece of trash. And let me tell you it did not help with how nervous I already was.
Angela: yeah but he only did that cause he thought you were a rookie
Lucy: that's not a good justification
Angela: but even though he did that, he's still one of the best people. He's kinda like Nyla, acts tough and are tough but deep down they're the sweetest people. I would know since he's my bestfriend
Jackson: he's definitely your best friend, but has he ever acknowledged that you're his best friend. Jackson smirked knowing he would get a reaction out of her
Angela: oh whatever, I know deep down he acknowledges that I'm his bestfriend, I know he has to right?
Jackson: are you trying to convince me or yourself?
Angela: whatever Jackson
Jackson and Lucy were full on laughing because they knew he was just pulling her leg and trying to get a reaction out of her
Angela: anyways as you know the captain's my mom, she's pretty chill I can't really give an opinion on her cause I'm biased. Wade's a great watch commander, he genuinely for everyone even Smitty as I'm sure you already have a general idea on how smitty is.
Lucy: yep I think I do, how did he even become a cop?
Jackson: trust me, I ask that question everyday and everyday I'm still confused
Angela: John's nice, he's like the father of the group and he's a trouble magnet. Ride with him for a day and that will be the most stressful day of your life
Jackson: she's not joking, I definitely learnt my lesson, never volunteer to ride with Nolan.
Lucy: ok ok I think I have a pretty good idea on everyone, thank you guys actually for making this a bearable first day.
Jackson: any time, and don't let your interaction with Tim today cloud your judgement of him, trust me I definitely thought the worst of him when I first met him. If you think your meet up was bad imagine actually being a rookie.
Lucy: oof I can imagine how rough that was
jackson: actually no you can't.
Lucy: that bad?
Jackson: let's just say he's just a really stern teacher
Angela: ok enough with bad mouthing Tim, he's still my bestfriend
Jackson: right..
before jackson could finish, Angela cut him off
Angela: don't you dare go on about it being a one sided friendship because you know it isn't
They burst out laughing. Lucy felt comfortable and felt like she was actually fitting even if it was just with two of the mid wilshire people. She still felt like she was starting to belong to a family but it's not always that easy.

Angela had to stop by her mom's house before going to her apartment.
Anderson: I thought you were going to be here sooner for dinner
Angela: oh sorry I forgot to tell you, I went out with Jackson and Lucy
Anderson: oh how was it?
Angela: it was good, really fun.
Anderson: and Lucy? How is she?
Angela: yeah she's definitely a lively person, fun to be around and I think she's starting to like it here except for her interaction with Tim.
Anderson: oh I bet she already hates him.
Angela: oh for a fact. (They both chuckled)
Anderson: and how is she as a detective?
Angela: uhm I guess she's good, I mean she did solve a case on her first day. So I would say she's pretty good, why all these questions about Lucy? What's with the sudden interest? Is there something I need to know?
Anderson: n-n-nope just making sure I made the right decision bringing on her into our team.
Angela: okkk??? (Angela said skeptical of her mom's answer). Well I'm gonna go home thank you for dinner.
Anderson: anytime and tell Tim to make sure he apologizes to Lucy
Angela: why are you so interested in Lucy?
Anderson: nothing I already told you, just want to make sure she's good for the team and if she is a good detective, I want her to get along with the whole team
Angela: whatever, bye mom I love you.
Anderson: love you Ang.
