I was really hoping I could do well in the Miami Grand Prix. However I wasn't lucky, getting front wing damage battling Carlos for fourth which meant I had to pit with 15 laps to go- ending the race in p13.

Lando however?

He won the Miami Grand Prix.

Albeit he did get a little lucky with the safety car but he actually won it.

"Shame what happened towards the end but you drove a very good race." Tom- my race engineer says as I drive on the cool down lap.

"Yes, the car was great a big well done to everyone- especially Lando." I feel a bittersweet smile come on my face. I would be happier if he hadn't said those things to me last night.

But honestly I'm kind of glad he won. I know how much he tears himself up over his lack of wins.

I get out of the car in park ferme, doing the usual like getting my weight taken.

I feel a pat on my back "Don't beat yourself up- you did good kid." I turn to see Zak and I give him a smile. 

"I'm sorry-"

"No- none of that crap." He pauses as we walk together towards where the top three will get out of the car. "You drove a good race."

"Thank you Zak."

We get to the team and make it to the front of the barrier. I greet most of the team and they return my greetings.

I watch as Lando goes on top of his car- almost tripping on the way up as he celebrates his first win.

I envy him.

Straight after that he starts running towards the team- and me.

I cant help but laugh as I watch Lando embrace the mechanics. Immediately getting picked up and pulled over the banister to my surprise.

Lando is lifted in the air for a while as everyone screams around him.

He eventually gets put down before immediately being embraced by Zak.

"Time for my tattoo is it then?" Zak laughs and I recall he got a tattoo when Daniel won in Monza in 2021.

I wonder if he will actually get one for Lando.

Or even me if I win a race this year.

"Yeah you said!" Lando laughs loudly. The grin never leaving his face.

Andrea gives Lando a hug and shakes his shoulder as Lando runs his hands through his hair.

"Plane cancelled then?" Lando asks to which Zak nods.

"Obviously." Zak says affirmatively.

"He cancelled when you started leading the race." Andrea laughs and lando winces.

"No you did not." Lando shakes his head with a laugh. Not believing him one bit.

"Oh yes I did." Zak says with a serious face before he bursts out laughing.

Lando catches my eye and he looks away quickly before averting his gaze back to me.

I give the slightest smile and a small nod. I would feel too bad if I completely ignored him.

He swallows sharply and looks away in what looks like guilt.

However his smile is quick to return when he starts talking to will.
