Arisha’s POV :

The rhythmic beeping of a heart monitor was the first thing I heard.

Then, the blinding white light forced my eyes shut.

Slowly, I pried them open, my vision adjusting.

That’s when I realized—

I was in a hospital.

I tried to lift my hand, but there was a weight on it.

A head.

Mikhazra.

She was resting against my arm, her breathing steady, her expression soft—peaceful, even.

It was rare to see her like this. As if, for once, she wasn’t carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders.

Her crimson hair cascaded over her face, slightly covering her eyes. Even in sleep, she looked breathtaking.

God, she’s so beautiful.

But then—

The memories hit me like a wrecking ball.

The kidnapping.

The electric shock.

The flashbacks.

And that man—

"Kim... Luke..."

Who was he? Why did he call me that?

What was that injection?

Why did they need me?

My breath hitched.

Everything was a tangled mess in my head. Nothing made sense.

I was drowning in confusion when Mikhazra stirred beside me.

Her lashes fluttered before she blinked, disoriented.

Then, her gaze found mine.

"Gri-Grimmy..." she whispered, voice laced with exhaustion and relief.

I felt her hand tighten around mine, trembling slightly.

Like she was terrified I would slip away.

"Grimmy, thank God." Her voice broke as she lowered her head, clutching my hand as if it was her lifeline.

I didn’t pull away.

I didn’t have the strength to.

I just stared at the ceiling, my mind spiraling.

Then, she moved to stand.

"Arisha, I need to call the doctor—"

I caught her wrist before she could leave.

Mikhazra turned back, surprised.

"Bakit, Ari?"

I exhaled sharply.

"Tell me everything, Azra."

Her expression froze.

I knew she understood what I meant.

I wasn’t asking about the hospital.

I wanted to know everything.

Everything she knew.
