"I think... *hiccup* I-I think I have... *hiccup* seen you somewhere before... *hiccup* R-Rocky ?"

The figure scoffs, a low chuckle escaping him. "Wow! What a comparison."

Meloni rubs her eyes, attempting to clear her blurred vision. The man sitting in front of her gradually comes into focus, and she tilts her head, trying to place him.

"I am Lucas," he says smoothly, a smirk playing on his lips. "Your cousin Olivia’s ex."

Meloni scoffs, rolling her eyes. "Cousin, my foot," she mutters, reaching for another drink.

"And it doesn't matter if *hiccup* if you are Rocky *hiccup* or Lucas... Both of them *hiccup* them a-are related to that bitch"

She rolls her eyes turning towards the dance floor.

Lucas leans forward, his smirk widening. "It matters, Meloni. It matters." His voice is smooth, laced with amusement. "Like you, I also realized that she’s a bitch. And as for Rocky ? Forget about him. He’s not that important."

Meloni narrows her eyes, intrigued but still suspicious. "Why are you here? What do you want from me?"

Lucas chuckles, resting his elbows on the table. "That’s what I love about you. Straight to the point, no useless small talk—unlike Olivia."

Meloni smirks at the indirect compliment, watching him with curious eyes. He leans closer, brushing his thumb over her lips in a slow, deliberate motion. "You’re gorgeous," he murmurs.

Her lips curl into a lazy smirk. "I know... I have to admit *hiccup* that bitch's choice in men is—" She trails her gaze over him, eyes flicking up and down appreciatively. "—not bad."

Lucas inches even closer, his lips nearly grazing her ear. "You know, if I had met you before, you would’ve been the one in my arms, not her."

Meloni shushes him with a finger against his lips. "I still *hiccup* want to know what brings you here."

Lucas smirks, his dark eyes locking onto hers. "To help you."

Meloni tilts her head, intrigued but cautious.

"We have a common enemy, Mel," Lucas continues, his voice lowering. "Olivia Hernandez."

Meloni raises an eyebrow, waiting for him to elaborate.

"She stole your place in your brothers’ lives. And because of her, I lost everything—my company, my house. Her brothers made sure of that."

Meloni watches him closely, the pieces starting to fall into place. She swirls the whiskey in her glass, considering his words.

"And what exactly do you propose we do about it?" she asks, her smirk darkening.

Lucas leans even closer, his voice a whisper. "Destroy her. Together."

Meloni narrows her eyes, tapping her fingers against the glass. “And how do I know you won’t betray me?” she challenges, voice slightly slurred but still sharp. “After all, you loved her once.

Lucas chuckles, his smirk deepening. “Loved?” he repeats, amusement flickering in his eyes. He leans in, close enough that she can feel his breath against her skin. “That wasn’t love, Meloni. That was a mistake.”

She scoffs, swirling the remaining whiskey in her glass. “And what if I think trusting you is a mistake?”

Lucas tilts his head, studying her with something dangerously close to admiration. “Then you’d be underestimating me,” he says smoothly, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. His fingers linger, brushing against her skin deliberately. “I have nothing left to lose, and I don’t let my emotions cloud my judgment. Unlike your dear cousin, I know exactly what I want.”
