Ellie wasn't lying about replacing what she destroyed, but it went beyond that.
Turns out, she's never been to a stripper department store, which, I guess, made a lot sense...
At first, she was a little awkward, her eyes trying not to linger too long on the sensual outfits, but once she got past that... she was like a kid at a candy store.
The whole time she was pulling outfits off the shelf and off the rack, holding them up for me to give an opinion. And what I've learned from that experience is Ellie liked a theme...
So instead of the 20$ I had originally thought I'd spend there, turned into almost 300, not of my money though.
We stopped by her work too. She wanted to get ahead of what she missed out on since she would be going back on Monday, even though she still had another 2 weeks of recovery...
I'm not thrilled about it. She knows this, but in her own words "if I wasn't okay, I wouldn't have been able to fuck you like that last night."
So there's that...
As of now, I'm standing in front of Abby's house, my house? I'm still not sure about that one... Ellie told me she had to do one more thing that I apparently wasn't allowed to know about the what or where, so, being the sweetheart she is, she figured I'd want to see Abby... catch up with her and things like that.
She wasn't wrong.
"Abby?"
I opened the front door, the house very still at this point, not even a tv or radio being turned on.
"Abs?" I called out again, setting my bag down on the couch and walked towards the stairs, looking up at the banister.
Nothing.
"Shit."
Is she really not home?
I open the door to the garage and turn on the light, and yup, my suspicion was correct, no car.
She wasn't home.
As disappointing as it was, I didn't know how long Ellie would take, and I had other reasons for coming here.
Walking back over to the couch, I grabbed my bag and head upstairs to my room.
By the time I had finished packing for however long my stretches at Ellie's house would be, my room was even worse off than it was before.
Maybe I should just move out...
It's not fair to Abby if she decided she wanted to rent out my room, or if my presence, even if it was just my things, prevented her from bringing girls home or whatever the case may be...
I looked at the mess on the floor and sigh, "this is a problem for later.."
The door downstairs opens, my legs already moving before questioning if I had remembered to lock the door behind me or not.
I yell out to the tall blond, her hair coming undone from the slicked back updo, and a gym bag slung over her shoulder.
She meets my eyes, a confused yet overly excited smile spreading across her lips.
"Just when I thought my day couldn't get any worse." She groaned, still smiling might add.
"Watch it." I point a finger as my foot descended the last stair, that said pointed finger jabbing her chest when I got close enough.
We shared a laugh as she winced, rubbing it.
"What are you doing here anyway?" She asked as she walked towards the kitchen where I followed her.
Sitting down on the barstool where a counter divided us, I watched her as she went over to the fridge to open it, grabbing a protein beverage.
"I needed to pick up some stuff, plus, is it really such a terrible thing to catch up with your best friend?"
She cracks the seal on the bottle, taking a sip.
