"THERE YOU two are." Miss Peregrine gave us a glance before turning around,opening the door and waiting for everyone to exist the house.

Jacob now walked with Emma,asking her questions that never ended to which she always answered without even turning her head to face him.

Enoch stayed behind everyone,his eyes scanning everything and everyone,from time to time glaring at the boy.

"So what was the talk even about?"

I turned my head to the side,meeting Fionas curious eyes. "What talk?"

She rolled her eyes,a small smile making itself visible on her lips, "The talk you and Enoch had? He seemed pretty bothered by it."

"Enoch is bothered by everyone and everything." I said,taking smaller steps as Claire had made her way in front of us and began walking in zigzags.

"Yes,of course,but what did he say to you?" Fiona kept pushing,trying to get the answers she wanted from me.

"That's for me to know and for you to never find out,darling." I told her,giving her a quick smile in the process and earning a frown as a response.

"And I thought we were best friends!" She yelled in a overdramatic tone while walking away from me and taking Hugh hand in hers again.

ENOCH P.O.V :

There she was,laughing with Fiona as if she hadn't just pushed on my nerves so hard that I could explode.

Laughing while I walk behind everyone wishing I could throw a stone at everyones head for just accepting the second Portman so fast.

Well,at everyone but her.

Even if she's the one that contributed the most to making me mad,I couldn't hurt her pretty head.

Hughs head looks like a pretty good goal,thought.

I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't even realise Emma and Jacob stopped in the middle of the way until I passed by them and heard Emma tell him to go somewhere and dragging him to the water.

Not my problem. I hope they both drown.

"Children,It's time to head back home." The bird said,looking around and counting, "Where are Miss Bloom and Mister Portman?"

"Emma took him to her hideout." I said,turning around as half of my housemates had already passed by me.

At the same time I started walking,Atena tried her luck in walking past me,making me grab her arm in order to make her walk slower. Everyone was now in front of us,leaving us two in the back.

"What happened to taking his hand,I felt some wind." I asked in a playful tone.

"I wanted to but he flew away." She said,rolling her eyes but still not looking at me, "I'll do it next time,I promise."

Her little promise seemed fake,yet it still bothered me,"I don't think so,keep your hands to yourself."

"You do that too and let mine go!" She argued,trying to shove my hand away from her arm, only to fail, "Enoch,you have no right to tell me what to do and what not to do. You've been ignoring my existence for years and now that Jacob popped up,you're acting like a jealous cat,stop this nonsense!" She finally looked at me,a little anger burning in her eyes.
Who cares if she's angry,she looked at me.

"I have every right,I'm protecting you." I told her,looking in her eyes.

"Protecting me from what exactly? I'm not going to marry him or run away with him. I don't even see him that way you overprotective shepherd! He's interested in Emma but you're just too blind to see that because of your jealousy!" She tried shoving my hand away,again begin unsuccessful.

"Doesn't your mouth hurt from so much talking?" I asked her,turning my head to the side and taking my hand off of her arm to place it around her shoulders.

"Doesn't your brain go to liquid form from so little thinking?" She shot back,turning her head again in my direction.

Since Miss Peregrine and the others we're forming a bigger distance from us with every step they took,I decided to do the only logical thing in my mind. Something I would maybe ignore later but god,I wished I had done it earlier.

I turned my head to see if anyone had turned their heads around to face us,only to see that they we're almost at the house.
I then turned my head back,meeting Atenas gaze and without thinking,
I pressed my lips on hers.
My hands landing on both her cheeks and hers slowly making their way on the back of my neck.
She kissed me back.
