"Mo Yun, let go!" Little Snake protested as Mo Yun pulled him into a dark alley. "I can't leave Old Dragon!"
Suddenly, Mo Yun turned and swung his hand at Little Snake, aiming to strike.
Little Snake jumped back just in time, barely dodging the attack. His eyes widened.
"You... you're not Mo Yun." he whispered, staring at the smirking figure before him. "You're Ao Yin!"
Ao Yin said nothing. Instead, she shifted into her true form, her body twisting and changing. Then, without warning, she lunged at him.
Little Snake reacted fast, drawing the Cloud Light Sword. Steel clashed against claws as he blocked the attack, his heart pounding.
Ao Yin snarled, her claws pressing against the Cloud Light Sword, but Little Snake didn't falter. He had trained too long, too hard, to lose now.
With a sharp twist of his wrist, he deflected her claws and countered with a swift slash. Ao Yin barely dodged, a thin line of blood appearing on her arm. She hissed, her eyes flashing with fury.
"You're better than I thought." she admitted, circling him like a predator.
Little Snake didn't answer. He steadied his breath, focusing. When Ao Yin lunged again, he was ready. He sidestepped her attack, bringing his sword down in a precise strike. This time, his blade cut deep into her shoulder.
Ao Yin cried out, staggering back. "You-"
Little Snake kicked Ao Yin hard, sending her stumbling backward. She clutched her wound, her breath heavy.
"Little one." A deep voice cut through the night. The Dragon King had arrived, stepping between them.
Ao Yin smirked but didn't stay to fight. Without another word, she turned and fled into the shadows.
The Dragon King turned to Little Snake, quickly checking him over. "Are you hurt?"
Little Snake shook his head, his fingers brushing against the necklace on his chest. His brows furrowed. "Why did she run away without taking the necklace?"
"You're safe. That's all that matters," the Dragon King said firmly. "Come, let's go."
When they returned, the Shadow Guards had already captured the masked man. His body lay motionless on the ground.
"He was a commander in Yun ga's army." The Dragon King's expression darkened. "That means Yun Ga's own men betrayed him." He looked down at the fallen demon, his mind racing.
Little Snake scanned the area, searching. Something was missing. Or rather, someone.
"Where is Ye Ruyan?" he asked.
The Dragon King's eyes widened as he realized it too.
"Ao Yin left without taking the necklace..." Little Snake murmured. "And Ye Ruyan disappeared."
The two exchanged a sharp glance.
"The gems in the mansion!" they said at the same time.

As they reached the mansion, the shadow guards and Ying lei who were protecting the treasure room lay unconscious on the ground.
"Ying Lei!" Little Snake ran over to him, worried. "Are you okay?"
Ying Lei struggled to sit up. "Princess Ruyan... she came with guards... she took the gems... she-"
Before he could finish, the Dragon King stepped forward, placing a glowing hand on Ying Lei's chest. A wave of spiritual energy flowed into him.
