After the chaos in the palace settled, Mo Yun helped the guards clean up and took the injured to the infirmary. While checking the garden, he noticed a small white fur ball near a bush.

"What is that?" he muttered, picking up a nearby stick to poke it. There was no movement. Curious, he crouched down and gently picked it up. It was a little fox, its front paw stained with blood.

"A little fox demon... Let's take you to the infirmary." he said, cradling the small creature in his arms.

The infirmary was crowded with injured guards, fox clan demons, and others. The Demon King and Little Snake were also sick, and the physicians were busy tending to them. Mo Yun saw a nurse hurrying by with a tray of medicine and quickly stopped her.

"Can you check him? His paw is hurt." he asked.

"Wait here, I'll come back." she replied before rushing off.

Mo Yun sat on a chair, holding the little fox close. His mind wandered to His Highness. The Dragon Heart Gem and Agni Flower had affected him badly, and he was still unconscious. The Dragon King never left his side. As a shadow guard, Mo Yun didn't know how to help, so he chose to assist around the palace instead.

Lost in thought, he suddenly felt the small creature stir in his arms. Looking down, he saw the little fox slowly opening its eyes.

"Oh, you're awake." he said softly, brushing its fur. "Don't worry, you're not badly hurt. Let's get you some medicine first."

The little fox tilted its head at him just as the nurse returned.

"Here you are." she said, kneeling in front of Mo Yun to examine the fox. "It's just a small wound. A bit of medicine and a bandage will be enough. Can you hold him still?"

Mo Yun nodded, keeping the little fox steady as she cleaned the wound, applied medicine, and carefully wrapped the bandage around its paw.

"All done. You're good to go now." the nurse said with a smile before turning to leave.

"Wait." Mo Yun called after her. "Where should I leave him?"

The nurse blinked, so did Mo yun.

"The infirmary is full of serious patients." she said after a moment. "He's not badly injured. You can take him back outside."

"But-" Mo Yun started, but the nurse had already left.

He looked down at the little fox, who stared back at him with bright, curious eyes.

"I'll find someone from the fox clan to take care of you." he said.

But to his surprise, the little fox shook its head, as if refusing to leave.

Mo Yun sighed and stood up, holding the little fox in his arms. "Don't worry you'll be fine." he said.

The little fox tilted its head but didn't struggle as Mo Yun carried it outside. He walked through the palace grounds until he found a fox clan warrior tending to an injured comrade. The warrior looked up as Mo Yun approached.
