After partying with Marshall and the fellas, Alexis decided that it was time to head back home. She had to get up in the morning, but she still wanted to spend some time with Marshall for a couple of hours. She gave the fellas hugs and told them that she would see them later. Marshall mentioned to them that he was going home with her and of course, the boys all joked about the two of them finally "banging out" all of the playful tension between them.
She convinced them that it wasn't anything like that and that even if it was, Marshall wouldn't be able to handle her. In true Marshall fashion, he grabbed the front of his pants and mentioned how he'd turn her crazy with the first couple of strokes, causing his boys to laugh and dap him up. Not wanting to start an "argument", Alexis ignored his comment and told them bye.
Alexis walked out of the club with Marshall following close behind her. Luckily, her car was right outside waiting for the two of them. The driver opened the door for them and cameras were flashing and clicking, taking photos of the two of them. Alexis quickly climbed into the backseat and Marshall followed suit as the driver closed the door. He got into the driver's seat and drove off onto the road, leaving the paparazzi behind.
"We're going to my house." Alexis informed the driver.
"Yes, ma'am, Miss Parsons." He nodded his head.
She turned to Marshall, "So how did you enjoy your special day?"
"It was cool. The gift did bump it up even more." He nodded, "Thanks again."
"Twas nothing." She playfully shrugged, causing him to laugh.
Marshall's phone began to ring and he grabbed it from out of his pocket.
"Hello?" He answered and then sighed, "What is it? Somethin' wrong wit' Hails? Then what is it? You rollin' or some shit, ain't you? Where is Hailie? Seriously?! You left Hailie wit' her?! I'm always gone cause I'm tryna make a better life for our daughter! This shit ain't just for fun! You been bitchin' about bein' tired of strugglin' and shit for the longest time and this "bullshit" you call it is gonna be the reason Hailie ain't gotta struggle like we did! Not to mention, it's also why you got the money for ya lil coke habit! Why you worryin' bout what I'm doin or who I'm doin' wit'? I don't ask you who you blowin' to provide you wit' your fix. We ain't married no more. She happens to be a friend. Kim, get the fuck off my phone wit' this shit. It's still my fuckin' birthday. Somethin' you ain't even bother to tell me. I ain't in the mood."
Marshall hung up the phone and scoffed harshly to himself. He looked incredibly angry and upset. He squeezed the phone in his hand so strongly, she thought he might actually end up breaking it. Alexis placed her hand over his and felt him almost instantly relax under her touch.
"Hey, I know it's a rhetorical question, but are you ok? Or will you be?" She asked him, her tone soft and concerned.
"Yea...I'm aight."
"If you want, I can ask the driver to take you to the airport to head back to Michigan." She suggested.
He scoffed softly, "Fuck that. I ain't lettin' her ruin what's still my night. I told you I was spending some time wit' you and I'm sticking to that shit."
She simply nodded her head and left the conversation at that. She didn't want to push anything and make him even more upset. She kept her gaze looking out of the window as the car drove through the street lit roads and felt a gentle tap on her thigh, causing her attention to be directed towards Marshall.
