Ye Yun paced back and forth in his study, unable to focus on his work. His mind was restless.
"Did I push him too hard?" he muttered to himself. "I just wanted him to understand his own feelings."
He stopped in the middle of the room, frowning.
"Was it too harsh to say I wouldn't wait for him and would find someone else?" He thought for a moment before shaking his head. "This won't do. I have to find him."
Without hesitation, he pushed open the study door and hurried out.
"Your Majesty, where are you going?" his head maid called after him. "You have a meeting with the Prime Minister later!"
"Cancel it. Don't follow me." Ye Yun ordered. Then, in a flash of yellow light, he vanished.
He searched everywhere, Lilun's mansion, the locusts' cave, and the forest behind it. But no matter where he looked, Lilun was nowhere to be found.
Standing in the quiet forest, Ye Yun clenched his fists.
"Where did he go?" he whispered. "Did I really push him too far... and make him leave?"

As Lilun walked down the street, he watched the people around him, paying extra attention to the couples. Some people glanced at him, whispered that he was strange, and quickly walked past him.
Further ahead, he heard a man calling out, selling books.
"Check out this new story, A clueless great demon falls for a human girl, how will he understand love?"
"I even have a love guide, Learn how to win over your favorite person."
Curious, Lilun hurried to the stall and grabbed a book. He looked at the painting on the cover, then flipped through the pages. The story caught his interest, and he started reading.
Just as he turned the next page, the book was suddenly snatched from his hands. Lilun looked up to see the stall owner staring at him.
"Young man, If you want to read the book, you have to buy it." the man said, holding out his hand.
"I don't have money." Lilun said, reaching for the book again.
The stall owner pulled it away. "This isn't a public library where you can read for free." He pointed to a building nearby. "That's the public library. You can read as many free books as you want there. But don't touch my books if you're not paying."
Lilun glanced at the library, then back at the book stall.
"Just go." the stall owner said, waving him off.
Lilun walked through the rows of bookshelves in the library. After searching for a while, he found the section with novels and started reading.
Meanwhile, Mo Yun wandered around, looking for him. Since Lilun was a great demon, his aura made it easy to find him.
"What the hell is he doing in a library?" Mo Yun muttered, biting into the candy he brought. He finally spotted Lilun sitting on the floor between the shelves, leaning against the wall with a book in his hands.
"What are you doing?" Mo Yun asked.
Lilun lifted his head and frowned. "Why are you here? Didn't you go back?"
Mo Yun forced a smile, though he was clearly annoyed. "How could I go back? You brought me to the capital. The day is almost over. Let's go back, his Highness is probably looking for me."
