"She's getting away!"

The voices yelled out as I sprinted, barefooted, away from the pursuers who were after me. Every breath hitched, gasping breaths labored in. Fear gripped me, narrowing my focus to a single, desperate goal: escape. It was like tunnel vision, all other thoughts and sensations fading away.
adrenaline pumping through my veins, sweating. When will i go far away from them?

Trees loomed overhead, the smell of leaves, and whatever.. In the deep woods of somewhere— not sure where. The leaf littered dirt crunching beneath my feet as i continued to run as far away as I can. Dodging every Twigs, rocks, and other obstacles getting interrupted of my runaway. The only priority on my mind was to focus more on running, Away from them and away from the lab that was once called home, It wasn't home in the first place, I just got deceived into thinking it was.

My heart pounding against my chest through my ears. Stumbling every once in awhile, but I was lucky enough to recover quickly and continued on.

"Subject 1245!"

"She's too fast!"

That's what I could make out behind me in the distance from my runaway. I didn't listen.. I didn't.. My only goal was to Run. Run away from this hell.

Each breath hitched, gasping for air that seemed to thin with every labored pull. Her chest heaved, muscles burning with the exertion. and my legs was starting to give out. No! I have to.. I have to keep up! I can't- don't- I don't want to!

Adrenaline fueled my determination. Ignoring but wincing slightly at the pain of every step i encountered on the path i ran, or was there a path?. Panic screamed in my mind DON'T STOP. YOU DON'T WANNA END UP LIKE THEM, DO YOU? The intense adrenaline rush made me push aside my growing exhaustion.

A breath got caught on my throat. My vision getting hazy, a headache creeping up on me, and my legs was aching from the running.. I don't wanna stop. Don't give up. Please. Please. As Nathalie was lost in thought, the pursuers was catching up to her, their yells making the girl snapped out of it and stumbled.

Just as she was about to get up, a guard grabbed her arm. Forcefully making her get up. In instinct, the girl tried to pull away "No! Let go of me!" Tears swelling up in her eyes as she squirmed out of the guards grasp, to no avail.

"You're really the difficult one, aren't you?" Sneered one of the guards while he walked to her other side, holding her still.

The little girl felt her breathing grow heavier, her thoughts jumbled back and forth, screaming in her mind to just let her go. Her lips quivering and her hands starting to tremble. Her breathing started to grow shallow. She was scared, anxious, angry.

"I DON'T WANNA GO!!" Yelled the little girl almost like a desperate plea not to go back to that hell hole of a 'home', She was almost successful in running away, why did something has to ruin it now? In your frantic attempt to escape from their grasp, the guard holding her, grunted in frustration "stop making our jobs harder!" He retorted, his grip on her tightening.

The other guards seemed to only watch you struggle. Squirming, tears streaming down your cheeks, screaming, desperate pleas coming out of you. It was almost a pitiful sight to see. But its not like they can do anything about it, not even you.

Breathless, gasping, my vision blurred. Ears ringing, I felt my senses shattering. What's happening? Why can't I feel anything?. My body felt weak. Exhausted..

You couldn't grasp on what was going on- what is going on? What's happening? Why.. Why can't you feel you anything?

WHAT'S HAPPENING?!—

An ear-piercing ringing filled your eardrums.

The ringing in your ears seems to stop.
You felt the cold, hard ground beneath you.

You glanced up Somebody There's.. there. They stood there. They were covered in Something.. Red. They have wings..

A figure loomed, clothed in red-stained attire, wings sprouting from their ears and their back. "Hey, mortal, did you lose your hearing?" they snapped, slapping Nathalie's cheek.

The once racing heart pounding harshly against her chest subsided, though she could still feel it. Nathalie's heart still racing, she stared up at the stranger. Who was he? What just happened?. The winged individual, who's clothes seemed to be tainted red now, only seemed to grow annoyed at your lack of response, "I saved your life. Say something would you?"
