Chapter 5 princess

*....* = thinking/ speaking in head.

*my head hurts*

"....."

*why is it so dark?*

"...."

*is someone talking?*

".....j....s......"

*I can't understand what they are saying*

"W.....u....."

*huh. I don't understand*

"Cy-...ti-...up"

*oh. It's getting brighter and easier to hear*

"Time to wake up princess".

*princess?* I open my eyes.

"There she is. Good morning your highness. Did you have a good nights sleep?"

*A maid? Who is she?*

"You feeling alright princess? Your face does seem kind of pale. I'll call for a doctor if you'd like".

*I'm so confused. She keeps saying princess. Wait... is she referring to me...?*

"Princess Lucy?"

"A-Are... you talki-ing t-to me?" Lucy asks her throat soar and dry.

"Why, yes your highness. You are the princess after all and the only other one in here". The maid chuckles helping Lucy sit up then passing Lucy a cup of water.

Lucy looks around the room. It's bright and big. Big tall windows with blue ish curtains. The ceiling looked like the sky. The bed was big with a gold frame of sorts. There were some lamps and small dressers on each side of her. It was pretty she thought.

"Um... where am I?" Lucy asked the maid. The maid stared at her like the question she asked was absurd.

"You're in your bedchamber my lady".

*bed chamber?* "what do you mean? I don't understand". Lucy said her voice still hoarse.

"It appears your highness has suffered a more worse injury than we thought. I'll go fetch the doctor at once". The maid said.

"Wait-" but before Lucy could stop her the maid walked out the door. "She's gone..." Lucy said aloud staring at the door. "Why can't I remember anything? My head hurts so bad. Every time I try to think, my mind goes blank and it hurts" Lucy plops her head back down on the pillow.

The door opens soon after Lucy lays back down and the maid along with the doctor comes in and comes close to Lucy's bedside.

"Good morning your highness. I'm glad to see your up". The doctor says. "Im Dr. Bren, the palace physician".  He says.
Lucy smiles in an unsure way. "Nice to meet you". She says.

"I hear that your highness is having a hard time of telling where you are and who you are. That's to be expected for you had a terrible accident and ended up hit in the head by some strong magic which is causing your memory loss". Dr says.

"What kind of accident. I don't remember that. All I remember is... is..." Lucy puts her hand on her head. "All I remember is some sort of light? Ow I don't know". Lucy's head hurts more.
