Aiah's POV

I was sitting on the couch in the dressing room, finally taking a break after a long day of photoshoots. My mind kept drifting back to what Mikhael said earlier. My heart fluttered at the thought of it. I couldn't stop smiling. It was crazy how just a simple statement from her could turn my entire mood around.

Then, just as I was about to close my eyes for a moment of peace, I heard the door open, and I quickly sat up.

"Bakit parang sobrang saya mo today, Aiah?" Mama Jovy asked as she entered, a playful smile on her face. She leaned against the door frame, crossing her arms. "Ano bang nangyari? May bagong kilig ba?"

I couldn't help but laugh softly, feeling a bit shy but mostly giddy. Kilig? That's an understatement.

"Actually, Mama," I started, biting my lip, trying to keep my excitement in check. "Mikhael said... we're going out of the country together. For a whole week."

Mama Jovy raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised. "What? Out of the country? What for?"

"Just... to spend time together. Away from everything." I smiled even wider, still trying to process how real it all felt.

She stepped into the room fully and sat beside me. "Aiah, is this a vacation or something more serious?"

I looked at her, biting my lip nervously. "I don't know, Mama. But... it feels different this time. I think she's really trying."

Mama Jovy smiled softly and placed a hand on mine. "I'm happy for you, anak. Just... be careful, okay? And take your time. Don't rush anything."

I nodded, feeling both excited and a little nervous. 'I will, Mama. I promise."

"Good," she said with a wink. "Just don't forget to enjoy it. You deserve to be happy."

I smiled back at her, my heart racing with anticipation for what was to come. Mama Jovy didn't leave immediately. She stayed, watching me with that teasing smile she always had whenever she knew I was trying to hide something.

"So," she started again, leaning closer. "Anong bansa ang pupuntahan niyo?"

I laughed lightly, shaking my head. "Hindi ko pa alam, Mama. Mikhael hasn't told me yet."

She raised an eyebrow. "Hindi pa niya sinasabi? Baka naman nagbibiro lang siya, Aiah anak." she doubtfully.

"No, Mama," I replied quickly, shaking my head. "She's s serious this time. I can feel it. She even asked me about my schedule earlier."

"Hmm," she hummed, obviously unconvinced but still amused. "And you're just going to let her take care of everything?"

"Yes," I said confidently, leaning back on the couch. 'For once, I want her to plan something for us. For me. She's never done this before, Mama. I feel like..." I hesitated, trying to find the right words. "I feel like she's really making an effort now."

Mama Jovy looked at me for a moment before nodding. "Well, if that's the case, then let her. But anak, don't forget—actions speak louder than words. Watch how she shows her love, not just what she says."

I smiled at her, appreciating her words. "I know, Mama. I'll keep that in mind." To be honest... I only feel the love of a Mother with Mama Jovy, kinakalinga niya ako na parang tunay na anak—kahit na wala siyang anak sa age niya na 48 years old.
