(Before this chapter starts, I'd like to make a statement.)
(A lot of you don't understand that I'm writing this book as if it's the actual show. Y/N is not the main character in this story, it's the main characters in the show still. This book is just being seen from Y/N's perspective. I just added a character into the Miyagiverse.)
(In other words, stop complaining that Y/N isn't a god.)
A Few Weeks Later
It's finally the day when the Sekai Taikai starts again. Within the previous weeks, Robby was able to train a couple of times. Sensei Lawrence proposed to Carmen, then they got married, and she gave birth to baby Laura Diaz-Lawrence. All within an hour or two.
You, Demetri, and Eli are hanging out at your house. The Sekai Taikai dropped a promo package and you guys are watching it before you have to leave for the All Valley Arena.
It starts off with showing the logos for the remaining three dojos, then to the Sekai Taikai one. The commentators are Kevin Burkhardt from Fox and ESPN's Ryan Clark.
Kevin Burkhardt: The world's most elite karate tournament is almost here. It's the Sekai Taikai.
It cuts to showing the remaining competitors that are fighting.
Kevin Burkhardt: The best under-18 martial artists from across the globe, competing for the title of world champion.
Then, to when Sam and Tory were fighting each other while in Barcelona.
Kevin Burkhardt: Samantha LaRusso of Miyagi-Do versus Cobra Kai's Tory Nichols. Winner advances to the girl's final, where she'll face Iron Dragons superstar Zara Malik.
It cuts once again to when Robby and Axel were fighting in the original semifinal, before the whole brawl happened.
Kevin Burkhardt: On the boys' side, it's Miyagi-Do's Robby Keene versus Iron Dragons Axel Kovačević. And it all starts today.
Then a camera pans to Kevin and Ryan at a table next to the mats in the All Valley Arena.
Kevin Burkhardt: Hi, everyone, and welcome to our live prefight coverage of the Sekai Taikai World Championship. I'm Kevin Burkhardt, joined by Ryan Clark. And Ryan, I gotta tell you, between the two of us, we've covered just about every major sporting event there is, but karate, now that's new territory.
Ryan Clark: Karate on the world stage? What could be better? And we have the best of the best when we talk about the three dojos competing in today's finals...
(I tried to find something where it gives me the entire commentary, but there wasn't any. And I couldn't hear it well while Johnny and them were talking. So you don't get it.)
Eli: I can't wait to see what Sensei has to say.
Y/N: Right?
Demetri: It's definitely going to be ridiculous.
The broadcast cuts to the 1984 All-Valley Tournament, where Mr. LaRusso is fighting Sensei Lawrence in the finals.
Kevin Burkhardt: Yeah, what a story this is. Two high school rivals from thirty-five years ago, now teaching together.
He holds up the trophy.
Kevin Burkhardt: Johnny, you lost a heartbreaker in this very arena thirty-five years ago.
It cuts to Kevin interviewing Sensei Lawrence.
Kevin Burkhardt: Gotta ask, what's it like to be back?
Johnny: Yeah, well, you know, listen, uh, nobody likes to lose. It's uh—
