𝟎𝟔- 𝐢'𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐡

(short chapter)

Madelyn's alarm - unfortunately, went off in the early hours of the morning; waking her and her boyfriend.

"Charlie." She shook her boyfriend. "Wake up, bitch." She hit his head with a pillow.

"Stop doing that." He groaned. "I'm coming." He rolled out of bed and headed towards her bathroom.

"Be quick! I need in there!"

"Uh-huh." He mumbled sleepily. Madelyn rolled her eyes. They both hated getting up early. Madelyn was like an angry bunny rabbit when she was tired - cute but might kick you.

The two teenagers showered and got ready for the flight.

"You ever seen a dinosaur before?" Madelyn asked as she turned her car engine on.

"No." Charlie chuckled.

"Really?"

"My parents aren't that rich." He smiled. Madelyn shook her head, smiling.

"Well, it's amazing." Madelyn started driving.

"Should you be driving this early in the morning?" Charlie asked, slightly concerned. "Should you be driving at all?"

"Can you shut up so I can tell my story about dinosaurs?" Madelyn whipped her head round. Charlie threw his hands up in defence, mimicking zipping his mouth shut. "Thank you." Madelyn focused on the road. "It's an insane feeling. It's like seeing a unicorn." Madelyn smiled. "Actually no, seeing a unicorn would be cooler."

"I thought you were telling me about how cool dinosaurs were?"

"Right." Madelyn nodded. Charlie smiled, judging. "It's early, leave me alone." Madelyn hit his arm. "Dinosaurs are amazing. But, from a safe distance. While they're in an enclosure, with no way out."

"So, not what we're going into?"

"No. The opposite of what we're going into." Madelyn sighed.

"Great." Charlie said sarcastically.

"But it'll be fine." Madelyn nodded, trying to convince herself.

"Yeah, it will." Charlie smiled. He rubbed her hand with his thumb. Madelyn smiled softly.

They arrived at the airstrip a while later.

"Claire!" Madelyn yelled as she got out of the car.

"Maddie!" Claire ran over to the blonde girl. She pulled her into a hug. "Oh, is this your boyfriend?" She pulled away from the hug.

"Oh! Yeah! This is Charles Winehouse." Madelyn pulled Charlie forward.

"Uh, Charlie." He corrected. "Nice to meet you." He shook her hand.

"Claire." Claire introduced. "It's great to meet you ." Claire smiled. "I'm glad Madelyn's so happy." She smiled at the two teenagers.

"You're safer on an airplane than on a horse." Zia told Franklin.

"Uh, that's Zia." Claire pointed at the girl. "And that's Franklin." She sighed. Franklin was talking about how he was safer on the ground.

"Nice to meet you guys." Madelyn smiled at the two; who were still arguing. They all climbed on board.

"Owen!" Claire announced as she spotted the man at the back of the plane.

"Thought you'd never come." He joked.

"Owen!" Madelyn exclaimed as she climbed into the plane.

"Maddie!" Owen smiled. He stood up. "How are you?" He pulled the short girl into a tight hug.

"I'm alright. How are you?" She rested her head on his shoulder.

"I'm good." He sighed. Owen pulled away from the hug. "Wow!" He studied her face. "You look so old. What are you? Twenty five?" He said sarcastically.

"Uh, eighteen." She laughed. "Oh, this is my boyfriend." She dragged Charlie closer.

"Boyfriend?" Owen said like an overprotective father.

"Hi, I'm Charlie." He smiled awkwardly.

"Owen." He introduced. Madelyn turned to speak to Zia. Owen pulled Charlie closer. "You break her heart; I'll gut you like a fish." He whispered.

"Come on. Let's sit down." Madelyn pulled Charlie away and sat in the chairs in front of them.

A few hours later, they arrived at Isla Nublar.

"Hey, wake up." Owen shook Madelyn awake. "We're here."
