Chapter 4 the fire dragon

"Lucy?" Natsu voice slightly trembles.

"I'm sorry". She mumbles. "Im sorry for deceiving you". Lucy's body starts to tear apart until it shatters. Then a small girl arises from the shattered pieces.

Everyone gasps of the girl before them. The girl opens her eyes and looks at all of us.

"My name is Rin and I've been pretending to be the girl you all know as Lucy". She says with a blank face. "I'm sorry for deceiving all of you but my orders-" Rin gets grabbed by her collar.

"Where the hell is Lucy?! What did you do to her?!" Natsu barks out angrily his fists clenched into a ball. "Tell me where the hell she is!"

"Natsu! Put her down, she's just a kid!" Someone yells at him.

"No he's right where's Lucy!" Another voice yells out.

Commotion starts and people start to shout out until Erza and the master show up and says, "that's quite enough". Everyone quiets down.

"Natsu let go of the girl. We won't know anything if you don't let her down". Erza says to him.
Natsu puts Rin down and steps back. Still clenching his fist and glaring at her.

"Now tell us where is Lucy". The Master asks.

"Dead". Rin says.

Everyone freezes and not a sound is heard. They just stare at the girl who shows no emotion. "You're lying!" Someone blurts out.

"I'm not. It's the truth". Rin says before Natsu starts to lean forward with a cold angry look in his eyes. Grabs Rin by the throat and yells, "YOUR LYING! TELL US THE DAMN TRUTH. WHERE IS LUCY WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER!"

Natsu forcefully gets pulled away by Gajeel and Lauxes. "We need her alive for her to tell us what happened". Lauxes says. Natsu tries to get away but is held back tightly.

"Tell us the truth. Where is Lucy and why have you been pretending to be her". Erza says in a cold voice.

"As I've said, your friend is dead. She died while trying to defeat some Hell beasts. I was with her when it happened. She protected me while fighting  them off. She used up all her magic but still kept fighting protecting my village. There was three of them. No one in my village had the power to fend them off. Only a celestial wizard with pure divine blood could destroy them. But it takes a lot of your magical power. She was able to defeat them even after using all her magic. But before she did, one of the monsters used the last of it energy to pierce through her body".

Rin stopped for a second.
Some people had their hands over their mouth. Others were shaking. Some crying.

Rin started again. "Before Lucy took her last breath she asks me to tell you guys sorry and how happy you made her. But I couldn't, I was scared. So I pretended to be her using my magic, almost like takeover I can copy someone else. But it's more like mirror image. I thought it would be better to pretend to be her for a bit than to say she died protecting me". Rin finished.

Everyone was silent. They didn't know what to say. No one could wrap their heads around what they just heard. It felt like a nightmare.
Just then flames started appearing. The grass started to burn. Everyone looked up and saw Natsu, fire engulfing him. Gajeel and Lauxes jumped back. Marks and scales started appearing on his body. His clothes started incinerating and dragon like wings started forming on his back.

"Natsu!" Happy cries out.

"Everyone get back!" Erza yells out.

The fire becomes even hotter until a big gulf of flames shoot up. Natsu yells out a big roar like sound shaking the ground. He jumps through the air and wings spread out. The flames engulf the sky until Natsu disappears from sight.
