The evening air was cool, the faint hum of the garden blending with the distant chatter of children playing. Krishiv sat on the wooden bench, his elbows resting on his knees, his face clouded with deep thought. He watched Bulbul running around, laughing as she played with her friends, but his mind was far from the peaceful scene before him. He had always thought of this place as a haven, a spot where he could seek clarity, but today, the usual serenity eluded him.

Across from him, Kavya sat beside him, her gaze following Bulbul's every move. She could see the tension in Krishiv's posture, the way his fingers tapped nervously on the armrest. She tilted her head, concerned by his unusually quiet demeanor.

"Any problem?" she asked gently, her voice carrying the weight of care.

Krishiv's gaze shifted from Bulbul to Kavya, a faint frown settling on his face. "Huh?" he asked, his voice distracted.

"You're looking so tensed," Kavya observed, her brows knitting together with concern.

He exhaled deeply, running a hand through his hair, clearly unsettled. "Ahmm... actually, yes," he admitted, his voice laced with uncertainty. "I'm so confused, Bulbul ki mummy."

Kavya's gaze softened, her attention now fully on him. "About what?" she asked, her voice quieter, as though bracing for something important.

Krishiv hesitated for a moment, his thoughts jumbling together. "About Alya," he said, glancing at her before looking away. "Actually, Vishakha aunty wants me to marry her... I mean, give her a chance. But I don't know what to do."

The words hung in the air for a moment, and Kavya's heart clenched at the depth of his confusion. She knew how important this decision was for him, how much Krishiv valued the bond with Vishakha, but she also saw the way his eyes betrayed his inner turmoil. Kavya had always seen Krishiv as someone confident, decisive-but right now, he looked like he was drowning in uncertainty.

She turned her body slightly toward him, her voice gentle but filled with understanding. "I'm sure Vishakha aunty has her reasons," she said. "She's always cared for you like a son. She wants what's best for you. But, you can't let anyone else decide this for you. You need to listen to your heart."

Krishiv looked at her, his expression still tense. He appreciated her support but struggled to find clarity in his own heart. "I don't even know where to begin," he muttered, the weight of his decision pressing against him. "I don't want to disappoint anyone, especially Vishakha aunty, she loved me like her own son, but... I don't know if I can do this. What if we're not compatible? What if this isn't right?"
