"Trying to escape little snake" said the dragon king. "Did you really think I would let you go that easily"
Tightening his hand on the robe beside heart little snake narrowed his eyes at the dragon.
"You..." He spoke through pain. "What have you d...
Ye Dingzhi happily hummed a tune as he read a scroll from his ministers. The sound was light, almost cheerful, a rare sight for those serving in his palace.
"Is the Demon King in a good mood today?" one maid whispered to another as they walked back to the kitchen, teapots in hand. "I've never seen him this happy while handling state affairs"
"He's been like this since he came back from Great Demon Lilun's mansion" the other maid replied, glancing around before lowering her voice.
"What?" The first maid's eyes widened.
"Yesterday afternoon, the Demon King went to Great Demon Lilun's mansion to see him. He told no one to follow him" the second maid explained. "He didn't return the whole night, and no one dared to go look for him. I mean, who would dare to step into the Tree Demon's mansion? The Demon King only came back this morning, looking so happy. The maids who helped him change said his neck was covered with, you know..."
The first maid gasped, covering her mouth, trying not to laugh. "So that means"
"Yes, yes, yes!" the second maid squealed, lightly hitting her friend with excitement.
"Has Lilun come by yet?" Ye Dingzhi suddenly asked, looking up from the scroll.
"No, Your Majesty" a maid beside him answered, bowing respectfully.
"He usually comes for breakfast..." Ye Dingzhi murmured, His mouth pressed into a thin line. "Is he still sleeping?" His fingers tapped idly against the desk before he let out a sigh. "Was I too rough on him last night?" A helpless chuckle escaped his lips. "But how could I hold back when I finally got to have him?"
Meanwhile, in Lilun's mansion, Lilun stirred awake with a small whimper. His body ached all over, and the moment he sat up, a sharp soreness ran down his spine.
"Fuck" he cursed under his breath, rubbing his lower back as memories of the night before came rushing in.
Ye Yun had always been good to him, always the one to put up with his sharp tongue and bad temper. Even Zhu Yan lost patience with him sometimes, but Ye Yun never did. They had been friends for centuries, and Ye Yun had always come to his aid whenever he needed him. But he never thought he would be getting this kind of help from him. How was he supposed to face him again?
Slowly, he reached for a robe and draped it over his shoulders, muttering under his breath. "Yun ga is always so kind and gentle but why is he like a beast in bed?" His brows furrowed, and he clicked his tongue. "It's all those two's fault. What's wrong with them? Are they cats in heat or something?"

"Achoo!" The Dragon King sneezed as he walked down the corridor, heading toward the bedroom.
"Did I catch a cold?" he muttered to himself, rubbing his nose as he pushed the door open.
His steps softened when he saw Little Snake curled up under the blankets, sleeping peacefully. His breath was slow and steady, his body completely relaxed.
The Dragon King sat on the edge of the bed and reached out, brushing a strand of hair from his face. "Little one" he called softly, fingers stroking his cheek.
"Mmm..." Little Snake mumbled in his sleep, eyes refusing to open.
"Come on, wake up. It's already late" the Dragon King coaxed.
"Five more minutes, please?" Little Snake muttered, shifting slightly but refusing to move.
The Dragon King sighed. "I already gave you five more minutes over an hour ago" Without waiting, he tugged the blankets away, revealing the stubborn little figure curled up beneath.
Little Snake groaned in protest, trying to bury himself back into the sheets, but the Dragon King smirked and leaned down. He pressed a soft kiss against his cheek, then another on his forehead. Still no reaction. His lips trailed down, leaving featherlight kisses along his jaw before reaching his ear.
The Dragon King flicked his tongue against the tip of his ear, his voice playful. "Still not waking up?"
Little Snake flinched, shoulders scrunching as he let out a sleepy whimper. "Mmm... stop it..." he muttered, turning his head away.
But the Dragon King only chuckled, taking his earlobe between his teeth and nibbling gently. "If you don't wake up, I might just take a bite."
Finally, Little Snake's eyes cracked open, hazy with sleep. Instead of pushing him away, he reached out, wrapping his arms around the Dragon King's neck and pulling himself closer. His legs instinctively curled around his waist, his body clinging to him like a koala.
The Dragon King raised an eyebrow. "Oh? You're finally awake, and now you won't let go?"
Little Snake buried his face in the Dragon King's shoulder, mumbling, "Too warm... too comfortable..."
The Dragon King sighed, but there was amusement in his gaze. "You're really not letting go, huh?"
Little Snake only hummed sleepily, tightening his grip as if afraid to be separated.
With a shake of his head, the Dragon King stood up from the bed, easily carrying the little snake with him. "Fine, if you won't wake up properly, I'll just take you with me"
Little Snake barely reacted, too sleepy to care as he nestled against him.
The Dragon King carried him toward the bathroom, adjusting his grip. "Since you're already stuck to me, I might as well help you wash up" he teased.
Hearing that, Little Snake peeked up drowsily. "Mmm... no, I can do it myself..."
But the Dragon King only smirked. "Too late"
Without another word, he stepped into the bathroom, carrying his sleepy little snake along.
