Chapter One

i'm not done with this chapter, but i've been making all of you wait for so long. i will be adding more to this later.

So, maybe Michael wasn't the happiest with his job at the moment. Literally pulling strings all day wasn't very exciting, but he stuck with it because of the pay, as well as the expressions on kid's faces as they watched his act. He couldn't understand how the children were so amazed; didn't they know that the wooden limbs were just attached to wires? Apparently not, because his shows just kept getting more and more attention. It was a shame that he couldn't actually take credit for what he did, because it would ruin the 'mystery,' but it was fine all the same. 

Michael liked having a quiet life. His husband, Luke, only worked occasionally, usually just when they needed a bit more money. Mike insisted on being the one to make all the money, but Luke couldn't just let him do that. After all, the two kids were theirs, not just Michael's. Because of this, the twenty-five year old blonde would sometimes take small gigs in places like bars and restaurants. 

It was summer break, which meant that the kids weren't going to school. The three months were almost hell for Luke, who stayed home and watched them. He was always so grateful when one of them slept over at a friend's house, and even more grateful when both of them did. Of course, this usually meant intimate time with Mike, which wasn't something that occurred frequently. 

Kacey was the older of the two kids, hard at work and merely thirteen years old. She took whatever job was offered, whether it be babysitting or dog walking. Her real passion, though, was playing guitar. She couldn't wait until she was fifteen so she could get a workers permit, and start serving for the local music shop. 

Josh, on the other hand, wasn't as productive. He had a valid reason, though. The boy was schizophrenic, and the signs showed up abruptly. Some cases had long periods of development, but Josh's showed up out of the blue. The young age was only slightly surprising; symptoms often appeared earlier in males than females, but it was still a bit odd. Symptoms usually arose between thirteen and twenty-five years of age.

Over all, Michael thought they had a good family. He had anger issues, though (which he was working on fixing), so he'd try not to snap whenever Luke would nag at him. He'd never get physical with his husband, though it was a bit tempting at times. Not because he wanted to, but because of his mental illness. 

So, yes, they had a few flaws. But other than Mike's anger issues and Josh's schizophrenia, they were perfectly normal.  (aHhhh i was adding onto this and abruptly had to leave sorry sorry)
