The golden light dissipates, leaving a 6-foot suit of purple and white armor with a red chest piece and helmet, where the woman was before. Before anyone can react, the woman speaks, her voice amplified by the armor in order to be heard over the chaos. "Everyone evacuate immediately! I'll cover your retreat, but I can only do so much on my own!" Without another word, the armored figure runs off at surprising speed to intercept the approaching Grimm. The civilians break out in a mad dash to ensure their own safety, with the exception of two individuals, standing still as they receive a call.

Samus Aran darts past the civilians, having already told them to evacuate. While there are still a few guards around, they don't seem to be able to do much against the Grimm. That essentially leaves Samus to do all the work. Not ideal, but she can work with this. She just needs to use her agility to her advantage. These things clearly pack a punch, as evidenced by the man with a caved-in chest, sitting in a collapsed stand she just passed. But the bigger ones seem to be slow and brutish. At the very least, there aren't any living civilians or guards behind the Grimm she's about to face, allowing her to use the plasma beam without fear of hitting bystanders. Silver linings. First thing's first, test the diffusion beam.
Approaching the front-most Grimm she charges up a shot, starting green, then glowing a reddish-purple once fully charged. Aiming at the bear-like Grimm in front of her, she releases it point-blank. To her satisfaction, the beam works as intended, tearing the thing apart from the inside out, pitch-black chunks of flesh and blood spattering across her, only for it to disintegrate just as fast as it was liberated from its owner. That works. But it's only good for a single target. won't work well for this situation. Next, Ice missiles.
She picks out a smaller, wolf-like target, and fires one at it. Striking its arm, the missile explodes, instantly vaporizing its arm and a good chunk of its chest, ice rapidly spreads across the rest of it's body in less than a second, immobilizing it. Not that it matters because it was dead the instant it was hit. She fires a missile at a bear Grimm, striking it in the head, cracking the bone-mask, but leaving it alive. The ice begins to spread, but it's not enough. Samus fires two more missiles at the bear, successfully freezing it, blowing off half an arm and leg each in the process. Missiles deal significant damage and are capable of stopping the creatures. The bear shatters its icy prison, falling to the ground and dragging itself towards her. Frozen for three seconds? Impressive. Samus rapid fires her beam into the prone Grimm, each green shot leaving the barrel and splitting in three, striking the Grimm in triplicate, traveling through it's flesh and into the ground behind it. Each shot scorches the point of impact, burning away a sizeable bit of flesh. It only takes 4 shots to the head to kill it, the boney armor doing nothing to defend it, thanks to the unique properties of the plasma beam. Samus thinks it's a lot more than it should be. It only took Samus 15 seconds to figure all this out, but in those 15 seconds, her actions have drawn the attention of the remaining Grimm in the area. 40 strong and have gotten far too close for her liking.
She slowly takes steps back as she activates her targeting program, targeting the closest Grimm, all bears, oddly enough.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5! With a chirp, the system lets her know it is done targeting and Samus releases a volley of missiles from her arm-cannon, shredding through the ranks of the vanguard. There's not enough time to target another volley, the wolves are too fast. Instead, she opts for a fighting retreat, firing her beams into the ranks of the pursuing Grimm. It takes her an entire second to take down a single wolf with her beams, and that's if she lands every shot. Luckily, they are bunched up, each shot piercing multiple targets, allowing her to swiftly eliminate 8. She's thankful that they're just mindless beasts, but their sheer numbers and simple lack of self-preservation more than makes up for their lack of intellect. Seeing that there are only twelve left, she holds her ground, picking off the two remaining wolves, and charges a diffusion beam, aiming it at the closest bear, and releases it. Just as before the beam impacts the creature, and reactions take place within the beast setting off small explosions, tearing it apart from the inside, blowing its chest open. By this time, all 9 monsters are in close range. She resorts to her missiles for the next 8 Grimm, dodging and weaving each slow blow, launching missiles at their faces and limbs, until there is one left. She stands her ground, allowing the bear to get into melee range. There's one last thing she wants to try.
As the bear raises its arm in a painfully telegraphed slam, Samus sees her opportunity. When the Grimm brings its arm down with a roar, Samus knocks it to the side with her arm-cannon in an impressive feat of strength, completely changing the trajectory of the arm and staggering it, leaving it wide open for what she does next. she leaps up to its face, and latches on to it with her hand, now glowing pink, the impact so powerful that it, combined with her weight, knocks the bear onto its back. Almost instantly, a black energy starts flowing across the bear and into her hand, the black blending into the pink. Samus groans at the strain it's putting on her, and lets go after two seconds, finishing the Grimm off with a diffusion shot to the throat, vaporizing the head.
"LADY, THE ENERGY FROM THE GRIMM APPEARS TO BE HARMFUL. 15% OF CURRENT ENERGY TANK WAS ABSORBED IN TANDEM TO COUNTERACT THE DAMAGE DONE. HOWEVER, AMMO AS BEEN FULLY RESTORED."
Samus nods in reply. "We'll need to find another way to replenish energy, then." At least if I run out of ammo, I'll still have a way to replenish it in an emergency. Still, the energy from the Grimm was completely different from what I felt from Raven Beak.
"BEHIND YOU, LADY."
Samus turns around to find 3 more bears heading towards her, but before she can lock on with her Storm Missiles, a strange symbol appears on the ground, a black circle with a snowflake filling in the area. The Bears seem to be held in place, but not for long before a person dressed in monochrome and black hair dashes through and slits the first two throats with a thick blade, stabbing the third through the jugular, each kill taking a considerable amount of effort on her end.
'Recording to Log Book" her helmet announces as the bears dissolve into nothing, and the black glyphs disappear. Thanks Adam
A white-haired lady catches up to the monochrome one. Samus quickly recognized them as some of the civilians -or so she thought at the time- she ordered to evacuate. That explains where the other 15 Grimm went. It's still an incredible shock to see anybody be this strong at such a young age.
"We need to get back to Beacon right now," The monochrome-clad woman says, with no small amount of urgency. "The White Fang are deploying Grimm in the school."
"I take it the White Fang is the terrorist group behind this?" Samus asks to confirm the nature of the threat. If I'm understanding that properly, it raises too many questions. Questions I don't have time to ask
The black-haired woman tenses for a moment, before answering. "Yes. They are. We're going to need your help. The everybody should be heading towards the courtyard." Samus's hand balls into a fist, a pink light enveloping it, drawing the attention of the black one.
The bounty hunter takes a deep breath, and closes her hand, it's pink glow dissipating. "We have no time to waste. Things are only going to get worse from here." Samus states as she takes off running.

"She's deceptively fast" The white-haired woman comments to the black-haired one.
"And strong." She took out 25 Grimm, including 8 fairly large Ursai in just over a minute. "But why did those last three Grimm just ignore us and go straight for her?" And her hand, was it glowing? Of course, the glow itself was not something she finds strange, but she is curious as to what it does.
"I don't know. Going after the biggest threat?"
"Maybe. Let's go Weiss." Blake says as she takes off running.
