\\what are people without connection\\

Two months, roughly sixty days since Y/n left.

Just from a glance as he stood atop half-blood hill he could tell nothing really changed.

He rested his hand on Thalia's tree as he took in an eye full of the camp.

The night sky fell over the camp, the moon illuminated the cabins painting them in a nice light. As you'd expect with it being so late at night, there wasn't any activity.

No people canoeing, none climbing the climbing wall, nobody hammering away in the forges, nothing.

Y/n let out a sigh as he took in a breath of the strawberry breeze. This was one of the few things he liked about camp.

Y/n hummed noticing the lights were still on at the big house. He guessed he still had time to check in with Chiron and Mr. D.

Now something you should know before meeting the pair... well one was a centaur and the other was an Olympian.

No seriously.

As funny as it sounded that was the exact and complete truth.

Chiron was the actual Chiron. A half man half horse brother to the eldest Olympians. His life purpose was to train heroes, something he asked Zeus to give him immortality to do.

Even now he still did just that. He worked as the camp's activities director. Through this position he would whip the next generations of half-bloods into shape.

Mr. D on the other hand was none other than Dionysus. Yup, that was right, the same wine guy you're thinking about.

You see, after doing something strictly forbidden by Zeus Dionysus needed a punishment. The solution was to send him to camp half-blood for 100 years. Not such a long time for an immortal, the only problem was he couldn't have any alcohol.

With that in mind you could imagine the torture of putting an alcoholic who doesn't really like kids in a summer camp with his only drinks being diet soda.

As Y/n walked through camp it felt kind of weird. He'd been out at night a load of times but the quietness felt weird in opposed to the place usually bustling with activity.

It was almost like an eerie calm fell over camp.

From by the cabins, a strange noise caught Y/n's attention.

Y/n paused instantly getting on guard. His eyes scanned where the noise came from. He watched for any movement.

He waited to a few seconds before from the darkness came a figure. Y/n squinted to make out the guy's face as moonlight hit his features.

Y/n's eyes widened.

It was Luke, counselor of cabin eleven. Y/n looked at the nineteen year old. It had been a long time since he'd seen his sandy blonde hair.

Y/n noticed the scar he'd gotten on his last quest was fully healed by now. In his eyes he held the same familiar twinkle of mischief but Y/n noticed a hint of nervousness.

"Y/n, you're back." The way he said it gave Y/n the sense he was interrupting something.

"Yea, I was on the way to check in with Chiron." The black haired boy said with a raised eyebrow. He was half interest on why Luke was out here, the other half didn't care much.

"I was just.... Sneaking to see a girl." Luke said pausing as if he had to think for a second. Y/n hummed.

He was old enough to understand what that meant. The teen must've been trying to do... adult things.
