Sabre
Words, my head is filled with squirming words as I wake up, back in bed after the weird incident at the library. I shifted over to look at the side of my room, the windows covered in curtains and blinds, but still letting a bit of the morning light in. Exhaustion tried pulling me back to sleep. I do not feel good...
I force myself up and out of bed despite it. I was invited to a meeting today. One of great importance. At least that's what the letter said. I went over to my desk, finding the small jar I put the large white feather in. It rained the entirety of that day. After the sleepover, the fields were soaked in mud and soil. The seeds in the fields sprouted with the help of the Green Steves. The canals me and the Yellow Steves made for the fields were ready and starting to fill with water. It looks like today, the good rain stopped. At least this will stop the drought for a while. Unless that stranger with wings comes over to give the kingdom rain again. I've never seen a Steve able to do something like that. If they even are a Steve at all.
I forced myself to get ready for the day. Eating a small breakfast, and getting my shoes on. I grabbed a large bag, putting in Comet's books. The original, the one I am translating in common, the one I am translating into Stevish, and the one I am translating in my own language to later give back to the Orange Leader. Since I won't have time to help out in the fields, I'll need to focus more of my time on the books and find out how to help others. The Indigo and Blue Steves.
I make my way out the door, making sure to put my boots on first. I made my way out the front door, but instead of heading to the meeting immediately, I made my way to the library. I.. I needed to grab a few more books. I went inside getting some odd looks from Steves who don't see me here often, due to my regular late-night visits. I went up to an Orange Steve who was running the library today.
"Oh, Sabre! What brings you here this morning?" He waves to me with a warm smile.
"Just... Last night there was a damaged book, One with writings about the dimensions. Did you get that figured out?" I asked. He pauses and thinks for a moment.
"Well... I did get a note when I opened about it, but the author is long gone. We will have to take a few more weeks to see if anyone knows what the missing page is about." They sighed.
"Don't worry about it, hopefully you can find something about it." I groaned looking around the library. This place hasn't been as helpful as I had hoped. I just feel like I read something... didn't I? As my eyes trailed over the room, I found a small stand. A place filled with journals and even a few sketchbooks. A sign reading. All funds go to keeping the library in good condition. I grabbed a small sketchbook. Looking over the fine pages. "How much is this?" I looked at them.
"Oh, just an iron bar." He confirms to me. I looked through my bag taking out a small iron bar. Acting a bit like a dollar in a way. I handed him the bar, while I put the sketchbook into my stuff. I'm not a great artist, but maybe I can use this to draw what I am reading about... I wave goodbye and make my way to the citadel at a quick pace. Despite the exhaustion that ached in my feet. I walk past some guards and make my way up the large winding staircase, reaching up to the meeting room. Inside the room, everyone but Light was there. I remember he said he wouldn't be able to attend the meeting today.
"Sabre just on time today!" The Green Leader welcomes me.
"Thank you for letting me join today." I smiled at him.
"Sit down, we need to start immediately," The Yellow Leader pressures me. I nodded and sat down in Light's chair. I looked at all the leaders, noticing Indigo and Violet's tense matter. Something tells me where this meeting is going to lead up to. I'm not sure if I like the idea of where it might end. The Orange Leader stands.
