Two weeks later, the bond between them had grown stronger, the foundation of their friendship now supporting something more. They were inseparable, their laughter echoing through Joseph house as they faced each day hand in hand. It was a whirlwind of excitement, a stark contrast to the lives they'd known before.

One evening, Benji found himself at Mav's place, surrounded by the familiar faces of their tight-knit group. Mav, Char, Den, and Keem were all there, the air thick with the scent of good food and even better company. The TV blared in the background, the latest basketball game playing out on the screen.

But Benji's thoughts were elsewhere, his eyes glued to his phone as he watched Joseph's face light up on the screen. "Hey," Joseph said, his voice a comforting rumble. "You still coming over?"

"Yeah," Benji said, tearing his gaze from the TV. "Just finishing up here."

"Cool," Joseph replied, his smile wide and warm. "Don't keep me waiting too long."

Benji pocketed his phone, his heart racing. The idea of Joseph waiting for him, of Joseph wanting him, was still new and thrilling. He said his goodbyes, the weight of the conversation lingering in the air as he stepped outside into the cool night. The drive to Joseph's place was filled with a mix of anticipation and nerves.

When the Escalade pulled up to the curb, Benji took a deep breath, steeling himself for whatever was to come. The door swung open, and Joseph was there, a smile on his face that was just for Benji. He took Benji's hand, helping him into the car with a gentle tug, the warmth of his grip a promise of what was to come.

The night was a blur of soft music, whispered confessions, and stolen kisses. They drove through the city, the lights painting a kaleidoscope of color across Joseph's features. Benji felt like he was seeing the city for the first time, every corner a potential spot for a new memory with Joseph.

When they finally made it back to the apartment, the tension between them was palpable. They stumbled into the living room, the low light casting shadows across the floor. The air was thick with the promise of what was to come, and Benji could feel his heart racing in his chest.

"So," Joseph began, his voice low and gruff with desire. "You wanna have a  movie night?"

Benji's heart was racing as he nodded, his eyes locked with Joseph's. "Sounds perfect," he murmured.
