Veer just stared at the phone completely dumbfounded his mind booming with questions about the situation. Aushi had faced tough situations before, but she didn't know how to feel about this one.
"Hey- hello? Veer? Bro are you there?" Aditya says confused
"Y-yeah- sorry there was a glitch- what were you saying?" Veer says beads of sweat dripping from his face
"Yeah so she told me that the guy trying to talk to her was a person named atiksh, so next time we go to the library we will avoid him okay?" Aditya says his voice filled with jealousy
Veer notices this and quickly asks "hey! Are you jealous because he was hitting on priya?"
"N-NO! like hell I like her...anyways I need to go so uh bye!" Aditya says caught off guard with the question and cuts the call.
Veer looks at Aushi and takes a deep breath "how are we gonna face atiksh now?"
Aushi looks at him "I don't know but this will be damn awkward-" suddenly they see atiksh standing by the door his expressions shocked and embedded with embarassment
Aushi's eyes widen as she looks at him directly in the eye, veer gets up and sees atiksh
"How much did you hear?" Veer says calmly but atiksh on the other hand didn't say a word and ran away
"Arrey! Kaha gaya vo?" Veer says before chasing him down the halls but he was long gone...it was like he just vanished
Aushi runs and looks at veer he is staring at the empty hall his eyes scanning every corner hoping to find atiksh
"It's no use bro. But we still have a chance to talk to him because of the ladies Sangeet we will have at night." Aushi says putting a hand on veer's shoulder
"Oh yeah! I completely forgot about that, I guess we will just have to wait for it then.." veer sighs in defeat and they both walk back to their hotel room to get ready for the ladies Sangeet.
Aushi chose a baby pink lahenga since it looked delicate, dreamy and perfect for the event. It had a gold embroidery and When paired with a well-fitted blouse and a beautifully draped dupatta it looked like the perfect outfit to wear to the ladies Sangeet!
On the other hand, veer wore a yellow kurta with subtle embroidery and straight fit pants as his outfit
"Ugh I look so beautiful! I need to take a aesthetic mirror selfie for my friends!" Aushi says going to the bathroom mirror and taking the selfie
"Uhm, what friends?" Veer says with a smirk as he opens his phone to watch YouTube when suddenly their mom (Sangeeta) comes in wearing a red saari
"Arrey yaar tumane abhee tak joote kyon nahin pahane?? apane phon ke andar chale jao!" Sangeeta says frustrated
"Theke theke bus joota nahi marna!" Veer says scrambling on the ground searching for his shoes before wearing them and quickly speeding out of the room, Aushi follows closely behind.
WHEN THEY REACH THE PLACE WHERE THE LADIES SANGEET IS HAPPENING.
"Hello Sangeeta!" Atiksh's mom says holding his hand dragging him to them
"Hello!" Sangeeta says giving atiksh's mom a side hug before wandering off leaving Aushi, veer and atiksh
For a few moments it is completely silent. Everyone is tense until Aushi decides to speak up
"So uhm atiksh...you were trying to talk to priya?" She says her eyes filled with curiosity
"Y-yeah..but I just wanted to become friends with her! I had no intentions on doing anything else I swear." Atiksh says fidgeting with his watch
Veer who was watching the interaction steps in "but then where were your friends at the time?"
Atiksh stays silent for a few moments before speaking. "I don't have friends...okay? That's why I tried engaging with priya to know her better"
"But then why don't you have friends?" Aushi says asking for answers
"Well it's because I was not exactly the BEST guy back then..." Atiksh says fidgeting more with his watch
"What do you mean by that?" Aushi asks
"Okay fine, i used to uhm well....how do I put this? I...." Atiksh says trying to find the right words to tell them
