moon jieun - wednesday
i found myself in changbin's dorm room again, this time with both him and jisung. it was strange, considering changbin asked me to come over, only for the both of them to start working on assignments. something that i never did.
until today, that is.
my back was pressed against the wall, legs stretched out on changbin's bed. he'd placed my feet in his lap, pushing his laptop down to make room for them. i didn't mind it, in fact it was comforting. my own laptop was on my lap, and for the first time ever, i was working on classwork.
the room was silent, save for the clicks of all of our keyboards occasionally. and sometimes jisung would hum softly, but i didn't mind that either. everything felt so... normal. and admittedly, i actually really liked it.
this is what university is supposed to feel like. working in a peaceful silence with friends. i actually felt a hint of pride as i turned in a few assignments. they weren't too difficult, as it turns out, all i really needed to do was just apply myself, and the rest came smoothly.
who would've thought?
i'm sure that for most people, something so simple is boring, but as for me... it was the most fun i'd had in ages. the most normal i felt in ages. i finally felt like i belonged somewhere, and that i wasn't just going with whatever flow.
i was writing my own story.
"one more hour of this and i might scream." jisung suddenly breaks the silence, spinning around to face us in his chair. changbin chuckles, cocking a brow at him.
"it's only been two hours." changbin remarks.
"two too many." jisung sighs dramatically, and even i laugh at that.
"what do you want to do then?" changbin closes his laptop, so i follow. an absent smile tugging on my lips when he places his hand on my ankle, his thumb tracing light circles.
"i don't know, i wish it was friday." jisung leans back in his chair, turning his head up to stare at the ceiling.
"why friday?" i ask.
"chan's party." changbin answers for him.
"are you gonna come this time, bin?" jisung asks, still staring at the ceiling. changbin turns his gaze toward me, a questioning look in his eyes.
"what?" my brows furrow.
"do you want to go?" he asks, and i blink. though i had made a ton of progress, frat parties were still most definitely not my scene.
"i don't think so." i shake my head. changbin nods, turning back to jisung.
"then, no." his response shocks me.
"wait— you know you can go without me, right?" i cock a brow at him. i hated that he missed the first party because of me. there was just no reason for him to miss time with his friends just because of me. i mean, sure couples mostly went to parties together, but it wasn't like we had any trust issues.
