The little snake stormed into the room meant for the Dragon King and slammed the door shut. He marched over to the bed, sat down with a huff, the bells in his hair jingled with every movement.

"Hmph! He said I'm a bad kisser because I don't have any experience" he grumbled. "And just where did he get all his experience from? With Lilun?"

A voice suddenly answered, startling him. "Oh, I didn’t expect you to be thinking about me"

The little snake whipped his head toward the window, where the voice had come from. There, Lilun was sitting casually, looking at him.

"You, What are you doing here?" the little snake asked as Lilun got up and slowly started walking toward him.

"A little demon without full powers managed to knock me out. Of course, I'm interested" Lilun said, stopping in front of the little snake. "What's your name?"

"None of your business" the little snake replied, looking up at him.

"What a strange name" Lilun said.

"You..." The little snake frowned, thinking, 'How does he share the same brain cell as that old dragon?'

"It's Mo Yichen, isn't it?" Lilun asked. "The one who helped Ye Yan elope with her lover?"

The little snake swallowed nervously. "I'm not" he said, looking away.

Lilun stepped closer and grabbed the snake's chin, forcing him to look up. "If you want to do this the hard way, I have plenty of methods to get the truth out of you" Lilun said coldly. "But trust me, you won’t like any of them. So talk while I’m being nice. Where is she?"

"I don’t know" the little snake said quietly. "We went our separate ways at Dragon Valley City. I haven’t seen or heard from them since."

"You’d better not be lying" Lilun warned, narrowing his eyes. 'I’ve already searched the place and found nothing, looks like Ye Yun have to send someone back to look for more clues' he thought.

He released the little snake’s chin and gave him a smirk. "Oh, I almost forgot. I brought you a gift"

"A gift?" The little snake eyed the great demon suspiciously. He remembered the last time he got a gift from a dragon, it didn’t end well. He was certain a gift from this crazy tree would be no better. "That’s… very generous of you, but no thanks. If that’s all, Please leave"

Lilun’s smirk widened. "In such a hurry to get rid of me?"

The little snake glanced at the door, calculating his chances of escape. 'What is the old dragon doing? His ex is right here. Doesn’t he sense anything?'

Before he could make a move, Lilun reached out. The little snake bolted for the door, but Lilun grabbed him by the neck sending him back to sit.

The little snake struggled, the bells in his hair jingling wildly. "Let me go" he demanded, his voice strained.

The vins from Lilun’s hand began to spread into the little snake’s neck like dark tendrils burrowing under his skin. The little snake cried out in pain, his hands clawing at Lilun’s wrist, but it was useless. The black veines slithered deeper, traveling down his neck and across his chest, leaving a faint, eerie mark under his pale skin.

They reached his left arm, twisting and coiling. The little snake gasped as they burned, his body trembling violently. The pain was sharp and unbearable. He watched in horror as the veins reached his hand, spreading out beneath the surface until they formed a dark, intricate pattern on his palm.

Lilun’s smirk grew into a look of satisfaction as he watched the transformation. "Beautiful" he murmured, gripping the little snake’s chin again to force him to look up. "You wear my mark well. It suits you"
