Cora arrived at the police station and got out of her car, slamming the door shut as she marched into the station. Her anger could be seen as clear as day. Everyone who saw her coming jumped out of the way. They are used to her being calm and always smiling and happy to meet people but this Cora was angry and ok a mission that no one wanted a part off knowing she will chew them up and spit them out again.
"Cheif Swan is in his office." The woman at the front desk said, knowing why the woman was angry. She herself tried to remind Charlie, but he ran from the station, saying he had to be somewhere important.
Slamming open the door, Charlie jumps from his chair in fright, looking at Cora.
"Cora..."
"DON'T YOU CORA ME CHARLIE SWAN!!" At the shouting, Charlie stepped back. He had never seen her so mad before. "DO YOU KNOW WHAT TODAY WAS?" When she got no reply, she smacked his desk, making him jump again, not knowing Santiago was watching with a smirk living his mates attitude towards the cheif of Forks.
"No?" It came out as a question more than an answer, angering her even more scaring Charlie.
"No, NO. HOW ABOUT FREYA? THE LITTLE GIRL AND HER FAMILY WAITED FOR YOU FOR HOURS AND NOW THAT LITTLE GIRL IS DEVASTATED. HER HEART BROKEN AGAIN BECAUSE OF YOU."
"That's today, but Bella said..."
"I DONT GIVE A CRAP WHAT THAT BITCH SAID."
"THATS MY DAUGHTER YOUR TALKINH ABOUT." Charlie raised his voice at her only to realise his mistake when a hand flew across his face leaving a sting and throbbinh sensation in its wake.
"NO SHE ISN'T YOU FOOL SHE WAS WAYLON'S DAUGHTER ARE YOU REALLY THAT BLIND HUH. FREYA WAS YOUR DAUGHTER, AND YOU JUST LOST YOUR CHANCE OF BEING THAT SWERT LITTLE DAD." Cora panted heavily, trying to calm down. Charlie looked down in shame and guilt, now only seeing his mistake and seeing the truth. Bella wasn't his, and he just lost his real daughter because of his stupidity and foolishness. "You have done this time and time again and each time..." Cora's voice broke as tears came to her eyes. "Each time I've heard that little girl ask. 'Why doesn't Daddy love me?' Or 'Did I do something to make him hate me?' Or 'everyone leaves me in the end.'" Cora whipped her tears away that fell and continued. "You broke that little girl more and more every time she was getting better. I understand that it is hard to look after a child with difficulty, but you have no right. No, right at all to hurt her more. And for what?" Charlie still looked down, tears coming from his eyes. "You don't get to cry. You caused this. You caused a little girl so much pain all because of Bella that girl isn't yours she never was she was waylons if you don't believe me test her dna to your."
Charlie looked up with a nod he went to get his coat, hoping Freya was still at the diner.
"If you're going to the diner, she isn't there. You're too late she left in a comatose state yet again." She spat the last bit out with anger.
Charlie dropped to his seat, crying as he put his face in his hands.
"She won't forgive me if she remembers." Charlie sniffled. "I lost my baby girl."
"Yes, you did. All that little girl wanted was your love, and you chose Bella over her." Cora finished and stormed away to her car, unable to take it anymore she cried into her hands in her car. Santiago wanted to comfort her but knew if he had just turned up now, she would think he was stalking her.

Charlie cleaned himself up and got some dna from Bella's toothbrush and went to the labs. He hated how everyone looked at him. He knew he deserved it after the way he treated Freya. He kept his head down, avoiding their stares.
Once he had given her dna and his to the labs, he waited in his office. After what felt like an eternity, someone knocked in the door. He called for them to come in.
"Cheif Swan." The man began giving him the same look as the other before continuing. "Isabella Marie Swan is not your daughter she is Waylon's. I ran Freya's dna as well, and she is your daughter, and her mother is dead. She died in a crash shortly after she left Freya in your care."
Once the news was given, the man left Charlie to his thoughts. It took him hours to calm down, and after he did, he was filed with anger and knew what had to be done.
He left the station and headed home. Once he got home, he knew Bella was in he saw her orange beat up truck. Walking in, Bella greeted him with a beer and a forced smile.
"Char...dad, what's wrong?" She said in a sickly sweet voice that now made Charlie's asking crawl.
"Pack your things." He demanded coldly, making her freeze.
"Wha..." She began.
"PACK YOUR THINGS YOU ARE LEAVING." Charlie yelled out her.
"YOU CANT DO THAT IM YOU DAUG.."
"NO, YOU ARE NOT!!! NOW PACK YOUR SHIT YOU ARE GOING BACK TO YOUR MOTHERS." Charlie stormed up the stairs, going to grab her suitcases and extra bags to pack everything to send her back to Renee.
"I CAN'T GO I... I... I HAVE TO STAY YOU DONT UNDERSTAND." Bella protested, trying to grab her things from her bags to stop him, but it didn't work.
Charlie, seeing what she was doing, went to her window and started to throw her things out in anger.
"YOU AND YOUR MOTHER KNEW YOU WAS NOT MINE AND PLAYED ME FOR THE FOOL I WAS. BUT THAT ENDS NOW IF YOU DONT WANT TO LEAVE FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT STAYING HERE. I HAVE LOST MY DAUGHTER MY REAL DAUGHTER BECAUSE OF MY STUPIDITY IN BELIEVING YOU NOW LEAVE."
Bella ran downstairs going for her keys when Charlie stopped her and took the keys before she could.
"I bought that for my daughter. You are not my daughter."
"I'm telling my mum."
"Go ahead she will be the one in trouble and have det she cannot pay back."
Bella ran from the house as the phone began to ring. He answered it after taking deep breaths.
"Hello, I need to speak to Mr Swan."
"That is me. Who is this?"
"Hello, Mr Swan. My name is Demetri. I work for the police department in Italy."
"What is this about?"
"I'm sorry there is no easy way to say this, but..." Demetri sighed before continuing. "Your daughter Freya and her adopted family have been in a terrible accident..."
Charlie felt his whole world come crashing down around him. His breathing picked up, and his heart started to pound in his chest.
"Is she... is she..." He couldn't finish the sentence.
"I'm sorry, none of them made it."
After that, Charlie hung the phone up and screamed a heart shattering scream that made the birds fly away, mourning.
He just lost his only daughter. The daughter always got excited to see him and talked happily and was patient. The daughter who was kind even with her being so forgetful. The daughter who looked at the world like it was Christmas every day. The one who had crawled into his bed for comfort. The daughter who brought the light into the darkness and made the shadows run. The one who gave advice well beyond her years and would not let anything stop her. She would not stop until a smile was on his face again.
And now she was lost to him now because he opened his eyes too late. He will never hold her in his arms again and laugh at what she says to cheer him up or her tiny lectures on why he shouldn't drink beer.
Charlie felt his whole body go weak as he just played on the floor, not having the energy to move. Guilt and pain ate him up inside, and it was all his fault. If he had opened his eyes and seen the truth, maybe she would still be here.
A/N: I know it's a sad one it had me crying while I was writing it. My heart broke just thinking about this.
