Chapter 11 - Part 1:

When Yan Mo suddenly dropped down, Yuan Diao and the others were startled and jumped into action. Cao Ting, though not the fastest to react, immediately recognized the gravity of the situation. She shouted, "Hold down his injured leg! Don't let the bones shift!"

Yuan Shan, focused and quick, rushed to Yan Mo's side, holding him in his arms, while Yuan Diao followed suit, moving quickly to secure Yan Mo's injured leg.

"What's wrong with him?" Yuan Diao asked, his voice thick with concern.

Cao Ting shook her head, her expression filled with worry. She couldn't understand what was happening but knew that something serious had occurred.

Yuan Shan had a suspicion but held his tongue. He Tu kept watch over her husband, while Yuan He had his own suspicions, making his heart feel uneasy.

Yuan Diao, his mind racing, tried to think about what could be happening. What was this "Wo Bufu" that the youth mentioned? Was it the name of the god that the youth's priest worshiped?

Ten minutes passed, both short and long in their own way. As the episode passed, Yan Mo stopped twitching. His body was drenched in sweat, as though he had just stepped out of a bath.

Yuan Shan gestured to He Tu. "Water."

He Tu quickly complied, bringing the cooled water to Yan Mo's lips.

Yan Mo struggled, lifting his hands to drink, taking two or three large gulps before his pace slowed. Once the water was gone, his mind gradually cleared.

"Xiao Mo?" He Tu called gently, concern in her voice.

Yan Mo turned his eyes toward her, struggling slightly to sit up in Yuan Shan's arms. It was so hot, and Yuan Shan hadn't even bothered to shower. The combination of his body odor and the sticky heat was almost unbearable.

"No, nothing's wrong," Yan Mo muttered quickly, trying to mask his unease.

Despite his attempt to cover up, He Tu and the others could tell something was off. The bone needle on Da He's body had not been removed, and though Da He couldn't move, he could still speak.

"Good child, don't worry. I know it's because of me, right?" Da He's voice was weak, full of remorse and gratitude.

Yan Mo, smiling awkwardly, scratched his head—his scalp itchy, a habit he picked up. "Master Da He, nothing's wrong. You're a good person, I won't let you die."

Da He felt touched, his heart filled with remorse and endless gratitude.

"Is this the cost of saving someone's life? Is this the punishment from Wo Bufu, the God?" Yuan Diao suddenly asked, his tone curious.

Yan Mo's mouth twitched. He hesitated for a long time before nodding slowly, subtracting 20 points from his initial negative impression of Yuan Diao.

"Yes, it's a necessary condition. Even my tribe's priest wouldn't think of a way. Bringing you back from the dead... how could there not be a price?" Yan Mo explained, his tone sincere.

He Tu nodded in agreement. Yuan He looked toward the youth with gratitude in his eyes.

"If you are willing," He Tu said softly, "We'll wait for Yuan Zhan to come back. I'll talk to him and have you come into my household. It's good that you haven't been marked as a slave yet. As long as my household has food, we'll never let you go hungry. As for your status... I'll find a solution!"

Yan Mo's heart skipped a beat. If he could get into Yuan He's family, his freedom would be far greater. No slave status meant he could do so much more and leave at any time. But...
