Chapter - 11 Coffee and Challenge

Author's Pov

As Ayaan sat in the hostel's canteen, his mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. Vedika's words echoed in his head: "I don't care if you talk to Jasmine or anybody." The nonchalance in her voice had struck a nerve. Did she really not care, or was she masking her true feelings? He struggled to make sense of it. The uncertainty gnawed at him as he absentmindedly poked at his dinner, Kaustubh's chatter barely registering.

Later, back in their room, Ayaan noticed Kashvi and Vedika asleep. He observed Vedika's serene face and instantly knew something was off. She hadn't eaten. He could tell. She must have lied to Kashvi, claiming she had. Concern flickered in his eyes. He couldn't just leave it at that.
Kaustubh was yawning, he managed to speak and said - kyaa huaa , sojaa naa

Ayaan replied - vedika ne khana nhii khayaa yrr

Kaustubh wanted to sleep said - khaa liyaa hogaa yrr , kashvii ne khila diya hogaa...

Ayaan said - nhii yrrr . He reached out to his phone and called chelsii , chelsii slept early as she was tired , her phone buzzed continuously which she didn't responded as shee was in deep sleep, goumit was awake, he was scrolling reels when he noticed someone's phone was ringing, he checked and said - oyee chipkali tumharaa phone baj raa haiii !!
There was no response from chelsii.
This time he shouted moree loudly - oyeeee phoneeeee!!!

This made chelsi open her eyes reluctantly, still yawning said - kyaa musibat haii.

Shee reached to her phone and checked it was ayaan's call. She attended the call and put her phone near to the ear.
When ayaan said - soo gyii thii kyaa itnii jaldii .

To which chelsii replied sarcastically - nhii mein toh mujraa kr ri thii , aaja dekhnee !!

Ayaan teasingly said - nhii aj mood Nhii hai , kisii aur din.

Frustrated with his talks chelsi asked - phone kyun kiya tha bhaii , kyaa kaam hai ??

Ayaan replied - room me aa frr btata huu , kuch important haii jaldi aa and he cuts the phone.

Chelsi not wanted to go , she just wanted to sleep but she get out of her bed and was walking towards the door. Vidhan and Samaira were asleep but goumit was awake so he said - kahaa jarii hoo raat mee ??

Chelsii being chelsii turned backwards and said - chudail se milne jari huu , usne mid night tea ke liye bulaya hai, tum chaloge??

Goumit said to himself - chudail toh tum khud hii hoo which chelsii didn't heard and went outside.

She walked in ayaan's room and shee saw kaustubh was half asleep still scrolling reels and ayaan was signalling her to be quite while the girls were sleeping. Chelsii was curious to know what was happening.

Chelsii asked in low voicee - kyaa huaa ??

Ayaan explained that he thinks vedika hadn't eaten anything so she should made her feed something. Ayaan said - voo parathe aur sabzi rakhii hai khilaa dee.

Chelsii had so many questions in her mind. She speak out and said - ek min pr tujhe kese pata ki usne kuch nhii khayaa haii ??
