Tanya hurried across the bustling campus, clutching her notebook to her chest. The first day of college was nothing like she had imagined. The energy in the air was electrifying, with students moving in all directions, their laughter and chatter blending into a symphony of new beginnings. Yet, Tanya felt a little out of place. She had always been the quiet one, preferring the company of her books over people.

The sprawling green lawns, the tall trees swaying gently in the breeze, and the imposing college buildings gave her a sense of awe and intimidation. Her footsteps faltered as she looked around, trying to locate the main auditorium.

As she approached the building, a cheerful voice caught her attention.

"Hey! Are you also a first-year student?"

Tanya turned to see a girl with a warm smile and short, wavy hair. She was holding a bright yellow notebook and seemed equally new to the surroundings.

"Yeah, I am," Tanya replied, feeling a bit more at ease.

"Great! I'm Aahana," the girl said, extending her hand.

"Tanya," she responded, shaking aahana's hand.

The two fell into an easy conversation about their first-day nerves, the campus, and their excitement for the classes ahead. By the time they walked into the auditorium, they were already joking and laughing like old friends.

After the orientation, the two girls headed to their first class together. On the way, they met another girl, riya , who had a sharp wit and a knack for making everyone laugh. Within minutes, the three of them clicked, sharing stories and making plans to explore the campus later.

As they walked out of the class, they noticed a notice board near the hallway.

"Seminar slots?" Aahana read aloud. "We're supposed to attend one of these today according to our allotted times."

Riya scanned the list. "Got mine at 2 PM. What about you, Tanya?"

Tanya frowned, scrolling down the list. "I don't see my name anywhere."

"That's weird. Maybe there's been a mistake?" Aahana suggested.

"I'll check with the student section," Tanya said, trying not to panic.

At the student section, she explained her situation to the staff, who reassured her. "If you don't have a slot assigned, you can attend any of the sessions. Just make sure to get your attendance marked."

Relieved, Tanya thanked them and headed toward the seminar hall. As she reached the door, she hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should walk in or wait. Slowly, she opened the door to peek inside.

Before she could step in, the door swung open from the other side. Tanya's eyes widened as she came face-to-face with a tall, confident boy she had never seen before.

"Yes?" he asked, his deep voice sending an unexpected chill down her spine.

Tanya stood frozen, her heart racing as she looked at him. There was something about the way he held her gaze, calm and intense, that made her forget what she was about to say.

"Are you going to come in or just stand there?" he asked, small smile playing on his lips.

Snapping out of her daze, Tanya quickly nodded and stepped inside. She could still feel his presence behind her, and as she found a seat near the back, her mind raced.

Who was he?

Little did she know, this was only the beginning of a connection that would change everything.
