Now let the story begin.

As he and his girlfriend get ready for their date night, [Y/N] lets out an annoyed sigh as fellow Hope's Peak student Kokichi Oma approaches the two with a mischievous smile.

Oh great, he's back. Kokichi has been bothering Kirumi and I all day, and I have a feeling he plans to continue doing so.

[Y/N] : Ugh, what do you want now Kokichi?

He asks the shorter male, who feigns being hurt by his classmate's tone.

Kokichi : No need to be so mean [Y/N], I just came by to help you guys.

[Y/N] : Really? You expect me to believe that huh?

Having known him for a while now, I've learned to never trust a single thing that comes out of this cretin's mouth. In fact, I'm honestly surprised his title isn't the Ultimate Liar.

In response, Kokichi simply shrugs as the smile returns to his face.

Kokichi : Hehehe, you're sharper than you look [Y/N], but then again, that isn't exactly saying much.

[Y/N] Listen here you little-

Kirumi : Calm down dear, don't let him rile you up, that's what he wants after all.

She says to her boyfriend before turning to look at Kokichi.

Kirumi : Kokichi, what have I told you about insulting others?

Koichi : Yeah yeah, whatever mom.

His smile widens upon seeing Kirumi's reaction upon being called the m word.

Everyone knows that Kirumi really doesn't like being called mom, so of course Kokichi takes delight in using that as a way to get under her skin.

Taking in a deep breath, Kirumi speaks up again with a sternness in her voice.

Kirumi : Kokichi, for the last time, I am not your mother, and I would appreciate it if you stopped referring to me as such.

Kokichi : Hmm...nah, I don't think I will...mom! Honestly I don't get why being called mom bothers you so much mom. I mean, being a maid and being a mom are basically the same thing. Moms clean, cook, and take care of kids, just like you do mom.

Seeing how much Kokichi is getting on his girlfriend's nerves, [Y/N] gives him a harsh glare.

[Y/N] : That's enough Kokichi. Don't you have anyone else you can go annoy?

Kokichi : Yeah, but it's much more fun spending time with you and Kirumi, I mean mom.

Kirumi : You are the single most infuriating person I have ever met....

The Ultimate Maid said in a low tone as her boyfriend looks at her in concern.

Oh no, I think Kokichi went way too far with the m word this time...

Kokichi : What's that mom? Did you say someth-

Kirumi : STOP! Just. Stop. I am tired of asking you not to call me that! This will be the final time I say this to you Kokichi, I am not your mother or anyone else's, and if you have any respect for me at all, you will cease referring to me as that!

Both [Y/N] and Kokichi look shocked at her outburst as Kirumi regains her composure.

Kirumi : Now, I will politely ask you to leave me and [Y/N] be for the rest of the evening as we finish preparations for our date night.

Kokichi : Fiiine, I'll go see what Miu's up to. Good luck [Y/N], Kirumi looks like she's in a bad mood now.

With that, he quickly leaves much to [Y/N]'s relief.

Thank goodness he's finally gone. I cannot stand that little hemorrhoid, but right now I'm more concerned about Kirumi.

He thinks to himself before turning to his girlfriend.

[Y/N] : Babe? Are you ok?

Kirumi : ......yes, I'm fine [Y/N].

She says that, but I can that she's definitely still upset.

[Y/N] : Kirumi, do you....wanna talk about what happened? Like you always tell me, it isn't healthy to keep your negative feelings bottled up.

He tells her in a soft voice as she looks at him and sighs before nodding her head.

Kirumi : Alright. First, I would like to apologize for my outburst a moment ago.

[Y/N] : Don't apologize babe, I completely get it. Kokichi has a talent for pushing people's buttons, and with him knowing how much you despise being called the m word, I'm not all that surprised you snapped the way you did.

Kirumi : Yes, I....I suppose that's true.

A brief silence occurs before [Y/N] speaks up again.

[Y/N] : Hey babe? Do you mind if I ask you something?

Kirumi : Of course not [Y/N].

[Y/N] : Ok. What's the reason you dislike being called mom?

He asks her and immediately regrets it as she flinches from his question.

[Y/N] : Nevermind Kirumi, you don't have to answer if it makes you uncomfortable.

Kirumi : N-no, it's ok dear. I trust you enough to tell you this. While I enjoy helping people as a maid, sometimes I can't help but feel like I'm...treated differently from my peers because of my talent, and being called a mom by people who are the same age as me.....makes me feel even more alienated.

She says and wipes a tear from her eye as [Y/N] looks at her sadly.

I had no idea Kirumi felt that way. Now it makes sense why she doesn't like that word.

He embraces her tightly as she hugs him back.

Kirumi : But you've never made me feel that way, which I'm extremely grateful for. I love you [Y/N].

[Y/N] : I love you too Kirumi.

The two smile warmly at each other and share a loving kiss, with [Y/N] extremely touching that Kirumi confided in him why she dislikes being called the m word.
