"Hmm..." Lilun opened his eyes and found himself in Ye Yun's bed. Ye Yun was still working on documents at the side table in the room. Lilun looked at his hand and saw the bite mark from Yichen was already healed.
"You're awake" Ye Yun said, noticing his movements. He walked over to Lilun, who sat up on the bed and pushed the blanket aside.
"Was I out for long?" Lilun asked.
"No, not even an hour" Ye Yun replied. "You already had the antidote, so the poison is gone now."
Lilun nodded and rubbed the back of his neck.
"How did snake venom knock you out like that?" Ye Yun asked curiously.
"It wasn't just any snake" Lilun said. "It's Zhu Yan's pet snake. The snake has Zhu Yan's blood in it."
"Zhu Yan fed him his blood?" Ye Yun asked, surprised.
"Yes" Lilun said with a smirk. "And now he's guarding that snake like it's some kind of treasure. I wonder how long he can keep that up."
Ye Yun threw a pouch of medicine at Lilun. "Take this and leave" he said. "I had to work in my bedroom because of you. Make sure you take the medicine."
"Who asked you to do that?" Lilun said. "I was only unconscious for a moment."
"Do you want to help me with these?" Ye Yun asked, pointing to the pile of documents.
"Ah, it's too stuffy in here. I need some fresh air" Lilun said, getting up and leaving. Ye Yun watched him go with a small smile.

The little snake sat close to the fire, holding a stick. He gently poked the flames to keep them alive. Sparks floated up into the dark cave, lighting up the sleeping dragon king nearby. The little snake glanced at him, his eyes lingering on the dragon king's peaceful face. Then, his gaze shifted to the jade pendant on the dragon king's waist. Tossing the stick into the fire, he slowly moved closer. Squatting down, he reached for the waistband, but before he could touch it, a strong hand grabbed his.
"What are you doing, little one?" the dragon king asked.
"Nothing" the little snake replied quickly.
"Oh, I see" the dragon king said, a mischievous smirk on his lips.
"You see what?" the little snake asked, confused.
"You want to cuddle with me to sleep" the dragon king teased. "I get it, It's cold."
"What? Who wants that-whoa"
The next moment, the dragon king pulled the little snake into his embrace. Holding him by his small waist, the dragon king rested the little snake's head on his arm and gently pressed it against his chest, securing him.
"Go to sleep, It's late" he said, kissing the little snake's forehead.
The little snake let out a sigh and relaxed in his arms. Soon, he felt the dragon king kissing his neck, his warm tongue brushing against his skin.
"If you don't stop, I'm going to cut off your tongue" the little snake muttered.
The dragon king chuckled softly, but he stopped. "Alright alright, little one. Sleep well."
The little snake snuggled into the dragon king's warmth. The dragon king gently stroking his hair.
"Do you think Lilun will die because of my poison?" the little snake asked.
"Of course not" the dragon king said. "He must have healed by now."
"Oh, I should have used more poison on him" the little snake muttered.
