"Trying to escape little snake" said the dragon king. "Did you really think I would let you go that easily"
Tightening his hand on the robe beside heart little snake narrowed his eyes at the dragon.
"You..." He spoke through pain. "What have you d...
"Ah" The little snake fell to the ground with a thud. Lilun stood tall and majestically in front of him. As the little snake tried to make sense of what just happened, he realized the Dragon King was nowhere to be seen, they were far away now.
"What are you trying to do?" he asked Lilun.
"Me?" Lilun replied with a sinister smile. "I just wanted to have a little chat with you. I'm curious to see what makes you so special that he left his lair for you."
Lilun stepped closer, and the little snake, still on the floor, began backing away slowly. He didn’t know much about Lilun, but he had a feeling this "chat" wouldn't be good for his health. As he tried to retreat, veins snaked out from Lilun’s sleeves, grabbed his leg, and pulled him closer. Squatting down, Lilun grabbed the little snake’s neck, staring directly into his eyes. Their eyes both glowed green.
"You really are a dragon" Lilun said, surprised, loosening his grip slightly. Seizing the moment, the little snake slapped Lilun’s hand away, drew his dagger, and aimed for Lilun’s neck. But Lilun was faster, grabbing his wrist and twisting it until the dagger fell to the ground.
Lilun reached for his neck again, but the little snake lunged forward, biting his hand and injecting poison. Lilun grimaced but used his other hand to grab the little snake’s cheeks, forcing him to let go.
"How feisty" Lilun said with a smirk. "No wonder Zhu Yan likes you."

"Let... go" the little snake struggled to say as Lilun squeezed his mouth. He tried to pry Lilun’s hand away, but it was no use. Lilun placed his other hand on the little snake’s stomach, trying to feel his inner core to find why his dragon power was not showing.
"As I thought, you’re sealed" Lilun muttered, sensing the seal within him.
The little snake grabbed liluns hand, releasing the soul binding rope that wrapped tightly around Lilun. Before Lilun could react, the little snake got to his feet and kicked him.
"You crazy tree" the little snake snapped. "You call this a chat? You’re just bullying the weak"
"Untie this now" Lilun demanded through gritted teeth.
"I’m not stupid enough to do that" the little snake replied.
"I’ve cultivated for thousands of years" Lilun warned. "How long do you think this rope can hold me? You better untie this before I do it myself."
The little snake remembered what the Dragon King had said. Judging by Lilun’s aura and power, he had to be just as strong as the Dragon King, as powerful as a great demon.
‘Oh no,’ the little snake thought. ‘A powerful tree demon in the wilderness... it must be...’
"Pagoda Tree Ghost, Lilun" he muttered in realization.
Lilun smirked. "Oh, now only you figure it out, don’t you?"
‘No wonder the poison hasn’t worked yet’ the little snake thought. 'He’s a great demon. This is bad, really bad. He looks ready to break free, and if he does, I’m done for.’
