Inside Apartment B of the Konoha apartments is Sasuke, a dark haired boy, reading a book probably, with a cup of hot coffee and a blanket. He'd read with not one creak, not one bang, not one beat from another room. No music, no noise, just how he'd liked it. And it took him just under 2 years to find this apartment; since then, he's been able to study and do as he pleases with no disturbances. His strict routine has not dared to be bothered. Just him and the sound of the wind.
He was happy. With the way things are, he saw good things for his future. He was smart and from a very rich family, the Uchiha family, not one person could touch him. That is probably why no noisy person had been to these apartments yet. That was, until one afternoon, the start of summer, Sasuke heard a loud car park at the front of Apartment B... "A bright orange vehicle? Seriously, who the hell drives a bright orange vehicle?" Sasuke growled under his breath as he was peeking through his curtains, watching as the blonde haired boy got out of his absolutely horrendous vehicle.
"Hey, why the hell's he coming upstairs?!" Sasuke complained, watching as the idiot, who was wearing street clothes, approached the door beside Sasuke's. Sasuke sighed, moving away from the curtains and instead making himself a cup of coffee. His mind was racing with questions: why the hell is this idiot moving in these specific apartments, where there's hardly anyone? Why buy that god awful vehicle?? And best question of all, why is he moving in BESIDE me?!
However, his racing mind was interrupted when he heard a couple knocks at his door. Confused, he opened it, only to see an idiot blonde in front of him. Sasuke glared at this boy, who was grinning playfully. "Hey! I'm your new neighbor, so I figured I should actually say hi to my neighbors," the blonde said rather loudly, "you look pretty gloomy, though."
Was that an insult?! Sasuke's brows furrowed. "Yeah, yeah, thanks for stopping by, have a nice day—" he tried to shut the door, but the blonde's foot quickly stopped it from being able to shut quite all the way. "Hey now, don't be so ridiculous. I'm just here to say hi, remember? I wasn't trying to offend you or anything..." he frowned at the raven haired boy. "You've said hi, and you've also called me gloomy. What, do you want a medal or something for saying hi to your neighbors? Do you think you're so great?" Sasuke opened the door slightly, rather than crushing his foot like he sort of wanted to.
"No, not at all..." he paused. "To be honest, you looked kind of lonely when I saw you open your door. I'm just trying to make friends, not enemies. Whatd'ya say?" He holds out his calloused hand, a bright smile plastered onto his face obnoxiously. Sasuke shakes his head, "fuck off." Before slamming the door shut now that his foot was out of the way.
The dark haired boy chuckled to himself, feeling proud and superior. He grabbed his cup of coffee, and right as he was about to sit down, he noticed a slip of paper was shoved beneath his door. With a brow raised, he walked over and picked it up. Labeled, 'To the stranger who lives here', with messy handwriting, read,
"I know you're angry, and that's alright. But seriously, you seem cool, contact me if you're interested in hanging out at a bar or something! P.S... name's Naruto."
And then underneath, was a string of numbers, containing their shared area code.
Sasuke laughs, and ripping it apart, throwing it aside. "As if..." he mutters to himself, sitting on the couch, and enjoying his hot cup of coffee, which was now starting to get cold. This little inconvenience already seemed to signal the feeling of impending doom within Sasuke.
...
The next day, Sasuke woke to the sound of banging and creaking, and muffled cries. Confused and annoyed, Sasuke gets dressed and quickly goes next door, knocking with frustration on the blonde's door. With no answer, he knocks furiously again, his brows tilted. Finally, a minute later, Naruto shows up at the door. "Ah... you." He mumbles with no shirt and unbuckled pants. Behind him, a girl covered in a blanket on his bed. Sighing, Sasuke understood what was happening. "What the hell? This early in the morning? People are trying to sleep, asshole!" He grumbled. Naruto laughed. "If you just saved my number into your phone, you could message me to shut up instead, you know." He says with a smirk, pissing Sasuke off more.
"Go have sex at a motel or something. I can't sleep with all that noise." Sasuke complains, trying to stay calm, knowing that getting angry won't get anything solved. "Save my number, and maybe." Naruto quickly replies, almost cutting him off. "I'm not doing that." Sasuke replied, "why would I save someone's number who I hate?" He says under his breath.
Naruto chuckles. "I'm not going to stop 'till you do, ya know." Sasuke growls. "The hell? You know I can report you right?" Naruto just laughs, shutting the door quickly. Sasuke stands annoyed. Yet another flashing signal telling him that there's more troubles to come.
Sasuke rushes inside his house, searching for the ripped pieces of paper, and piecing it back together to form his number. Once done, with a grumble, he types the number into his phone, and adds his contact. "I can't believe this asshole..." he mutters, as he types a message to him:
Sasuke: hey! Keep it down, people want to sleep sometime this year...
45 minutes later, a ding comes from Sasuke's phone, signaling a notification. When he opens the text message, it reads:
Naruto: yeah, yeah. She's gone, don't worry. You complain too much.
Sasuke sighs of relief, though annoyed at him for ruining his good sleep in the first place.
Sasuke: you better not do anything else stupid.
Naruto: and if I do?
Sasuke: I'll kill you!
Naruto: oh no... so scared.
Sasuke: whatever, asshole.
Naruto: how about I make it up to you with a cup of coffee, huh?
Sasuke thinks for a moment, his chat bubbles popping up and down as he types a response.
Sasuke: alright, fine, you win.
Naruto: cool! Tomorrow at 2?
Sasuke: sure, tomorrow at 2.
