(3rd POV)"Ugh! I cant believe I had to take a 2nd bath this early morning!" Talulah complained as she stepped out of the bathroom.
Fresh and dry while wearing new clothes, she sported a cute scowl that's leaving L amused rather than intimated.
Hard to feel intimidated when she was a child and equal to his age, having been invited to their house mostly at the insistent of Talulah.
Who swore to get him back for having her covered in trash despite the fact it was her fault to begin with.
Not that anyone could convince the stubborn girl as she gave L a glare but a more passive one with the lack of aggressiveness in her tone.
"As for you!" She stormed towards him and grab him by the scruff of his shirt.
"Sis! Please stop it's not his fault and you know it." Ch'en pleaded her sister before she does some that she'd regret.
But to the latter's surprise Talulah did something else. "Idiot! You made me so worried! How could you go on your own and runway, you should've trusted me."
Talulah hugged the mute boy who just smiled sheepishly as he patted her head.
"I had some important things at the time I'm sorry if I worried you." Was the words written on his note.
"You better be... *sniff*... I thought you just left me and didn't come back." Try as she might to not admit it but Talulah?
Her encounter with L who seemed so nonchalant and friendly not caring of her nature or the rumours revolving around her spread by others had locked him in her mind as a first true friend.
His return only further cemented these facts. "Why wouldnt I? It would be bad for me to leave someone who I helped and in return was trying to help me to be left and forgotten without apologizing."
Talulah stopped hugging him and look at each other as he continued. "So I'm sorry for leaving you abruptly Talulah."
"Hmph! Well you could've just said so before disappearing your such a jerk." She gave him a jab on the shoulder as he gave a silent chuckle.
"Um... where do you live actually L?" Ch'en inquired rather shy now that things had calm down which is normal for her.
The only thing breaking her from her shell is when her sibling tries something bad to get her into trouble.
"My family are staying here in Lungmen for sometimes, last I know we'll be heading for Columbia in maybe a few months from now." L replied through his note.
"What?!!!" L winced as Talulah nearly screamed to his ear. "Your telling me you won't be staying here?!" She asked rather sternly.
L nodded. "That's unfair! I only got to see you again and your telling me you will probably leave by next month or so?!" She angrily added.
"It is what it is, can't argue with my new family since that's what my new little sister wants." L replied which didnt satisfy Talulah.
"Unfair! Unfair! I've yet to get to know you better and the time well see each other is going to even short!" Talulah exclaimed though her action made it seem like she's throwing a tantrum.
