Anakin and Ahsoka returned to the Council Chambers. Anakin sat in a seat and stayed silent. Ahsoka sat two seats to his left. "Master, what should we do?" Ahsoka asked. Anakin pulled his lightsaber out and ignited it. He looked at the glowing blade. "I don't know. I... I'm more concerned about... did he send that woman after us?" Anakin asked. "If he did, he must have sensed something in The Force about me."
"Well, he knows you're the Chosen One, right? Maybe thats it?" Ahsoka asked. Anakin extinguished his lightsaber. He looked out the window at the beautiful setting sun. "We have to go after them. They won't survive without us." Anakin said.
"Master, let's think this through--"
"It's already thought through. Come on, Snips." Anakin said, cutting her off.
"Maybe we should wait for a few others." Ahsoka said. Anakin ignored her. She didn't think her master would be so arrogant. She force jumped in front of the chambers door and held her fists up. "I don't want to fight you, Master. Don't make me." She told him. Anakin didn't touch his lightsaber. He used the force to push Ahsoka back. Ahsoka force pushed him back and he fell into one of the chairs in the chamber. "Ahsoka, let me through!" Anakin demanded.
"No! We're waiting for Mace and the others to return!" She told him. She jumped over a chair and Anakin kicked her back into a wall. She stuck the landing on her feet and pushed back. She landed on Anakin's back, holding him down. "You don't get it, Ahsoka! Let me go!" Anakin yelled.
"Then help me understand! Why do you want to go?" Ahsoka asked as she held his wrists down.
"Because I can't lose you!" Anakin told her. Ahsoka loosened her grip on Anakin's wrists, surprised. Then he elbowed her in the chest and flipped her off his back. He returned to his feet and Ahsoka did as well. Anakin and Ahsoka both pulled out their lightsabers and ignited them. Before either of them moved, they both realized this has gone too far. They both extinguished their swords and returned them to their belts. "Elaborate, please?" Ahsoka asked. Anakin and Ahsoka started into each other's blue eyes. "Remember the nightmares i mentioned? About Padme?" Anakin asked. She nodded. "I stopped having them a few days ago. The day we returned after I killed Count Dooku. But then i had this nightmare about you. I couldn't save you in my dreams, so i just want to save you now." Anakin told her. "And Palpatine, being the Sith Lord, knows about immortality. In the moment, I didn't think about it. But after that dream... you're not just my Padawan, Ahsoka. You're one of my best friends." He said. Ahsoka was surprised about what he said. They approached each other. "You don't know how highly I think of you like that, Anakin." She said. "Thats why I don't want you to go. Palpatine is a Sith Lord, if he has really been grooming you since you were a boy, since before I joined, I don't want you to make a rash decision and... end up taking his side." Ahsoka had tears in her eyes at the thought of her master falling to the Dark Side. Anakin saw this and hugged his Padawan. She almost started crying on his shoulder. The two sat down. "Okay. I won't go." Anakin told her.

Anakin and Ahsoka waited in the Chambers, talking the whole time until Mace Windu finally returned, his robes tattered and his brow dripping sweat. Anakin and Ahsoka approached him. "You're back... Master Windu, what happened?" Anakin asked.
"Four of us went in, only I came out. Thats what happened. The Chancellor's dead." Mace told them. "All Jedi will be here tomorrow and we'll talk about this then."
"Yes, Master." Anakin said as the two bowed.
"I must say, I'm impressed you stayed. And I am a man of my word, Skywalker." Master Windu said before he left the room.
