Oikawa was convinced to win you back. He needed you to make his plan work.

He knew that music club ended around this time because he used to pick Nakahara up sometimes. He was about to reach the music room, when he saw Nakahara from afar, walking down the hallway. And she seemed to have noticed Oikawa, too, because she had a dirty smirk on her face. Like she was thinking 'I knew he would come crawling.'. She nudged her friend and nodded her head towards Oikawa.

Just when he was about to reach her she stopped walking, expecting him to do the same. But he continued to walk straight forward, down the hall. Not even glancing at her.

She watched him disappear into the room she just came from, confusion written all over her face.

Meanwhile his heart was beating like crazy. He didn't think that he would be able to resist looking at her. As much as he hated her right now, there were also still feelings involed.

Leaving her behind him he went into the first room, findnig it empty, so he checked the second room. And there you were. Sitting alone by the piano once again. He was listening to you play something, not wanting to disturb you.

"What is it?" You asked him, looking at the tiles.

"I didn't want to disturb you." He came closer to you, sliding his hand over the piano lid.

"And yet you are." You sighed, looking at him.

"(L/N), I know I messed up. I shoudn't have listened to her, but she manipulated me. I have no idea how I let it come so far, but I really am sorry for what you went through because of me."

"You know, Oikawa. I can't even tell whether you really want our friendship back or just need me to help your plan and then toss me away again. I can't trust you again." You tried playing your part of the four hands piece while talking.

"Give us a chance (Y/N), please." He came closer to you, sitting beside you.
You stopped playing, looking out of the window, taking in a deep breath.

"I told you not to call me that."
This was harder for you than you thought. Even after what he had done, you still kind of had the urge to cry while he was talking to you. And you really thought you were over the past.

"Please (Y/-"

"I couldn't find (F/D= favorite drink), so I brought water, (Y/N)." A voice interrupted Oikawa's sentence, coming into the room.

He stopped in his tracks when he saw you and Oikawa sitting next to each other by the piano.

"Am I interrupting something?" He had a puzzled look on his face.

Oikawa was confused. How could some random boy call you by your first name, but not him? You two knew each other for much longer than you knew this boy.

"Not at all, Ko. He was just about to leave." You looked over at your piano partner and smiled.

The tall brunette stood up from his seat and made his way to the door. He took a quick glance at Koto, your partner, and then back at you.

"I'll come back, (L/N), this isn't over yet." Were his last words, before he finally walked out.

You sighed out, the weird tension was finally gone and you were able to breathe again.

Koto took his seat next to you and handed you the bottle of water.

"What was that about?"

"Don't worry about it, just Oikawa doin' Oikawa stuff." You shook your head, hearing Koto's soft giggle.

"I just hope he stays away. We got competitions coming up. Can't let him mess that up for you again." Koto said, and he was speaking facts.

Back then, Nakahara and Oikawa began dating weeks before your competitions started. And him being unsupportive of you, but instead cheering for her made you lose focus for what actually was important: winning the competition against Nakahara.
She was smart. Using Oikawa, your life long best friend and potential crush, against you by taking him away and making him cut all contacts. You were so distracted by the pain, that you could have never won that thing back then because you neglected your practices.

But that was one year and a half ago. You were stronger now, and you were so over him (at least you thought so). Also, you and Koto grew closer, so whatever may happen from now on, he was here to support you mentally. And not to mention your best friend, Tsukiko, who had always been there for you.

"There's no way I'd let him into my life again." You said, before the two of you continued to practice.

The next day you were sitting outside on a bench underneath a willow tree for lunch break. You liked spending lunch break alone, because this way you could at least get some calm. You were scanning the area, when you saw Iwaizumi walking up to you. It didn't surprise you since you still kept in touch, but him coming during the lunch break was still a little suspicious.

"Is this spot free?"He greeted, grinning at you.

"Sure it is." You patted the spot and waited for him to sit down. You offered something from your food, but he declined.

"Please tell me you aren't here because Oikawa made you." You rolled your eyes.

"Seriously, (Y/N), I think there is no one knowing better than I do how much he hurt you. I would never come here on his behalf. That would be too rude to do." He said.

"I want you to take care. He is, once again, only thinking about his own benefits. Don't let him ruin you again." His eyes were filled with worry. He took great care of you, of course there was no one knowing better than him.

You nodded to what he was saying. "You're right."

"And a little reminder that I am here for you. No matter what, alright?" He smiled softly, making you nod in response.

He left shortly after.

Oh that damned Oikawa. Why couldn't he just stay out of your life entirely, after destroying it? And the fact that the first thing he said, after 1.5 years of not talking wasn't even a sincere apology, but instead his stupid idea of taking revenge. How could someone be that selfish and on top of that expect you to say yes to his ridiculous plan?

Back in class you saw Nakahara looking at you a few times, and her friend too. They were whispering and rolling eyes. You wondered what they were talking about because, clearly, you didn't do anything wrong.

But luckily, you weren't disturbed any more that day, so you decided to visit your best friend and keep her updated about everything that happened.
